Very nice hotel with challenging bathroom.

    rating31 May 2026

The property is very nice. The restaurant and service superb. The pool is relaxing. My only complaint is a ridiculously small shower stall with no shelf for your shampoo or razor. The shower is approx 32” x 32”and each time I bent over to get my shampoo or conditioned I turned the water off by accident! Shave the legs? No possibility. The built in hair dryer burnt my scalp (you have to hold a button the whole time to work it) then it just turned off. Went to the desk to get a hair dryer but that one didn’t fit the plug in the bathroom. Eventually they gave me something that worked. The bathrooms are the only negative.

    Not four star hotel

    rating28 May 2026

Firstly, this hotel is NOT four star. The hotel is basic, modern in parts but, basic in facilities. Upon arrival, our room was not ready. The staff seem surprised that we had arrived early, clearly they were not advised our flight had been moved from evening to morning. As a package, this may not be their fault but, fault of the tour operator? Despite this, we were shown a room to change, they took our luggage and advised us we could use the pool area and expect a call once our room was ready. We arrived at approximately 10am after a very early 2am start. We were not offered a drink or breakfast upon arrival. At 2pm, we still had not been informed our room was ready so went to reception to find, that indeed it was ready and our cases had been moved to our room for us. The shuttles bus (10 euros per person, per day) could be arranged via reception although there is break in the afternoon for two hours and again in the evening from 6-8pm so if you aren’t lucky enough to get on the 6pm shuttle if it is full capacity, you have to wait until 8pm for the next shuttle into town so book early! Breakfast is acceptable, same each day with continental and a few hot foods. The first breakfast we had, unlike in other European counties we have visited, not one of the staff said good morning or advised us where to sit which surprised us. The room was basic in appearance. The patio door had a large crack through it and the doors did not lock which on the first night made me very apprehensive sleeping knowing we were not secure despite being on the first floor, this didn’t reassure me. The shower was very small. I am average build but, struggled to move around in it due to its small size. The air conditioning kept cutting out with the timer flashing which we could not rectify. The room was clean and tidy just basic in appearance but, the maid was good with clean towels daily and beds freshly made. The pool is not heated. The pool bar is basic, drinks are ordered at the small bar no orders taken from the sunbeds. We ate in the restaurant for my husbands birthday. We arrived at 7.35pm (restaurant opens at 7.30pm) having pre-booked. One couple was already eating and yet we were sat immediately next to them which seemed strange in such a large and empty restaurant to be sat down close, in fact, we were so close that when the waiter served our wine, we had to wait for the waiter serving the wine on the other table up finish as both waiters could not get round the tables together as they were situated so close. We ordered a glass of Prosecco and the waitress poured this from a previously opened bottle with a temporary cork in it. Immediately we could see the wine was flat as there were no bubbles. She continued to pour but only managed a glass and a half when it ran out so she left to retrieve another bottle. In her absence we tried the wine and it was indeed flat and insipid. We asked for it to be changed but, the waitress had difficulty understanding us and therefore called for a young waiter to assist. He understood, apologised and removed the sub-standard Prosecco and replaced with a glass from the new bottle. There were 4 or 5 waiting staff but, as the restaurants filled up with another three tables, the waits for service got longer as sometimes three waiting staff all attended one single table leaving other tables unattended. The food was on, nothing spectacular just average food. The staff did present my husband with a small chocolate cake with a candle fir his birthday which was a nice touch although after already ordering a dessert this was quite filling eating two puddings! The beach had lots of seaweed which unlike some other European beaches was not cleared daily and gradually built up. Dogs were allowed on the beach which was a surprise at this time of year. Dogs were allowed on the sunbeds and into the restaurants. I have to admit I was not a fan eating listening to a dog barking a few tables away. If you go into the town, do not go before 6pm as it’s dead - we struggled to find an open bar to sit and have a drink. We did have a fantastic meal in Da Nardino restaurant in town a must if you enjoy seafood or fish, expensive but delicious with fantastic service so worth every penny! The reception staff are friendly and helpful but, the breakfast staff could do with some training in customer service. All in all we enjoyed our stay but, would not return to this hotel or resort.

    Very dissapointed

    rating06 May 2026

This was probably the most disappointing holiday i’ve had. I would recommend going during June-August since nothing opens up until the end of may. Me and my partner spoke to two elderly couples that were also staying in this hotel, and they said this is the worst holiday they have been on. No buses or taxi services until the end of may. They do provide a shuttle that is 10 euro a day but only to the beach and town. Which does not have a lot to offer. In addition, if you are a picky eater, i would not recommend. The restaurant offers mainly fish at this hotel and the dishes i tried were a wild boar gnocchi which made me feel very ill aswell as a mash and cheese pasta which was quite weird. I would recommend this place to a more elderly audience who just want to relax and is not fussed about exploring. Me and my partner also found that if you are english, the staff in the town and hotel aren’t as kind to you as they would be to others, just a heads up.

    rating19 Sept 2025

From getting there to leaving the hotel staff where alway happy to help. The room was lovely cleaned everyday.Breakfast was very good with a good choice. They have a mini bus that that's you into the town and beach 10 euro each but can use it all day not just once . The pool area was lovely with a bar and snacks from 12.30.The hotel restaurant was outstanding ate there 4 nights out of 7 . If you want to book any trip Giuseppe your man very helpful. We went horse riding on the beach Giuseppe organised it was a great experience. So would definitely go back to this hotel.just a couple of pointers you can't walk into the town it's a main road. Only one thing that would be good if had a tea / coffee in room . We are truly delighted to know that you enjoyed your stay with us, from the comfort of your room and the daily housekeeping service, to the quality of our breakfast, the relaxing pool area and the dining experience in our H2O restaurant. It is a real pleasure to hear that Giuseppe helped make your holiday even more special with the organization of your excursion, horse riding on the beach is indeed unforgettable. We also greatly appreciate your valuable feedback. While the location along the main road makes walking to town not ideal, we are pleased our shuttle service could make your movements easier. As for tea and coffee facilities in the room, we thank you for the suggestion, which we will keep in consideration for the future. We are truly happy to know that you would choose to return and we look forward to welcoming you back for another memorable stay in San Teodoro. With warm regards,Guest Experience Team Hotel San Teodoro

Lovely hotel on the outskirts of the town

    rating17 Sept 2025

Lovely hotel on the outskirts of San Teodoro town. Great staff who are friendly and helpful at all times. Spotlessly clean. Very nice modern rooms. The restaurant is high end cuisine and very good indeed. Breakfast was plentiful with a range of hot & cold food. The pool area is lovely with a great view of the mountains. The shuttle service was so useful to the beach & town throughout the daytime and evening and costs €10 daily which is great value. La cinta beach is just amazing ! Whilst I highly recommend this hotel there are some very minor points to raise - Bottled water is not replenished daily. You have to purchase it.No tea/coffee making facilities in the room which is unusual. No iron in the room.As I say very minor points and we would return for sure. Guest Experience Team Hotel San Teodoro, Altro at Hotel San Teodoro, responded to this review Dear aldjones67,thank you very much for sharing such a thoughtful review. We are delighted to know that you appreciated the comfort of our modern rooms, the high-quality cuisine in our restaurant H2O, our plentiful breakfast and the relaxing atmosphere of the pool area with its beautiful mountain view. It is also a pleasure to read your kind words about our staff and the convenience of our shuttle service.Regarding your observations, allow us to clarify: a complimentary bottle of water is provided on the first day of arrival and additional bottles are always available in the minibar. As for the iron, for safety reasons it cannot be placed in the room as standard equipment, but it is always available upon request at the reception. We are grateful for your valuable feedback and thrilled to know you would gladly return. We truly look forward to welcoming you back for another memorable stay in San Teodoro. With warm regards,Guest Experience Team Hotel San Teodoro
