    Massive disappointment

    rating15 May 2026

Massive disappointment for €500/per night. Looking like an old residential building is not a problem, but having a the smallest gym room that can fit max 2 people and a spa that is closed for private use is just a bit unexpected for a 5 star luxury resort as it boasts to be. Staff were so unfriendly and unhelpful sometimes arrogant, had to literally beg every day to supply coffee and water, also they noted 5 times that they only refill water at night because it’s so needed exactly at 19:30! Spa comprised of a jacuzzi with tiles that are falling apart and a one person sauna - shameful for yet another 5 star experience. They ask for reservation to use it as it only fits 8 people, but if someone else pays for a massage, then they close it and it can’t be used by hotel’s guests. Overall, facilities are outdated and old, our bathroom shower was a bit disgusting with damaged floor. Breakfast was okay, nothing special, restaurant food was good. There was a massive crane that didn’t compliment the sea view. The only positive thing was the beautifully arranged garden. Also, Patrizia and pool guy who were the only smiling people around. To sum up, felt robbed for a 5 star luxury experience that is poorly maintained and managed. Paola Mancini L'Ea Bianca Luxury Resort, Direttore generale at L'ea Bianca Luxury Resort, responded to this review Dear Guest, we are really surprised by your very bad review and honestly do not understand why. L'Ea Bianca is a boutique hotel of only 34 rooms, all renovated and redecorated in March 2026. Of course, our gym room is not the largest one but has all machines to train the full body, set on the top floor, with an amazing sea view. The Spa area, such as Sauna and hot water pool with jacuzzi, is free of charge but needs to be booked, as mentioned in the brochure in your room. Our clientele is very demanding so it is possible to book it for 1 hour for individual use, and it is for max 4 persons so that it can be enjoyed nearly privately. Coffee in the room is free of charge, every morning and during the turn down we replace coffee and 1 bottle of water per person. All our rooms have been redecorated and are new. Unfortunately there was a crane in the neighbourhood, and this we cannot change it. We apologize for the bathroom, and will check all our rooms to see whether there is a damaged floor. Our staff is much appreciated by all our guest, but we are happy to know that at least Patricia and Riccardo meet your approval, as well as our flowering garden.

    Super hotel

    rating27 Jun 2025

A lovely luxury hotel. Modern spacious rooms with good sized bathroom and great views from the balcony. The food was excellent for breakfast and evening meal. The staff were friendly and very professional. Great tips on where to visit from our waitress. Thoroughly recommend this hotel, I’m sure we will visit again.

My favourite hotel of the last 35 years travelling the world.

    rating03 Jun 2025

We attended a wedding in Sardinia and decided last minute to tag on 3 extra days. I’m always nervous when I see a hotel describe itself as Luxury……However, if I was them I would be adding other adjectives! Luxury certainly. Stunning views. Wonderful pool and garden areas. Private beach access. Superb team effort that works better than any other hotel I’ve stayed at (and I’ve stayed at plenty of very well known luxury hotels). Special mention must be reserved for the restaurant. This was consistently superb cooking. I wide range of a la carte as well as chefs choice. Everything was cooked and presented superbly. I’ve often heard of people who return to the same hotel year on year and wonder why. This is a hotel (plus the island of Sardinia) where I might become one of those people. Everything about it was perfect for us. Seriously impressed and cannot recommend enough.

    Luxury, I don’t think so!

    rating06 Oct 2024

Physically this hotel is lovely. The view and the pool setup is gorgeous! The restaurant is, at best mediocre. A young woman from Slovakia waited on us and she was lovely. Smiling and happy! Our suite was nice, great view comfortable seating. Room service breakfast is good and served soooo quickly! Now for the reason it only got 3 stars… this could be mistaken for a funeral home. When we arrived the manat the front desk, Andrea dis not greet us pleasantly at all. He had an unhappy look and never once looked at us as we entered or left with a smile and a greeting. He is an unpleasant person who has the wrong job! Should be back of the house. Also avoid the spa! They don’t have a proper massage table and my husbands back hurt more after the massage than before!Bartender was pleasant!

    Wonderful in every way

    rating04 Oct 2024

We had a magical stay at L’ea Bianca. The rooms, grounds, and facilities are beautiful. Each room has a balcony and sea view. The pool is lovely and there are ample places to get sun in a chez, in the outdoor couch area, or in one of the many lounge chairs throughout the lawn. To me, however, it was the staff who truly made the experience so magical. At every turn, each staff member is delighted to greet you and help in whatever way they can. A heartfelt smile and “bongiorno!” or “Bona sera!” go a long way towards making a guest feel welcomed and attended to - and each and every staff member succeeded in this. Giovanni and Zuzana (and colleagues) were always so friendly in the morning when they would ask for our coffee orders and generally take care of us during breakfast. Lido the lifeguard, while providing wonderful service (and good banter) by the pool, also provided great local beach recommendations when we decided to go off campus for a day of sun (to be clear, the pool is wonderful with ample lounge chairs and lots of sun!). Luca took wonderful care of us anytime we ordered drinks or snacks at the bar and always so thoughtfully asked how our day was going. Giovanni at the front desk so kindly offered to call a number of restaurants (that he helped recommend - all of which were wonderful and none of which were tourist traps) to make reservations as we were on data-only plans. And Cristina helped to recommend the best day (don’t forget to check the weather!) and way to sail about the Maddalena archipelago - which ended up being the most magical day of our trip. Of note : Yes, I am a friendly person. But to be on a first-name basis with 6 different members of the hotel staff after only a few days is a testament to the personal care and attention that we received from the staff during our stay. Each room has a lovely balcony overlooking the pool and the sea beyond. When not at the pool, beach, beach restaurant, lounge sun couches, or beautiful bar, we enjoyed having a beverage and reading a book and enjoying the lovely view. It felt like each time we returned to our room, the staff had thoughtfully made it up - beds made, towels changed, or perhaps a fresh new bottle of water by the bedside. And, they somehow did this without ever interrupting us. We are so grateful to L’ea Bianca and their staff for making our week in Costa Smeralda so wonderful. We will be back!
