  Misleading advertising by love holidays

  Bloods boiling! Booked through love holidays for a week in early October. Read ghe online advert that said accommodation with a pool and restaurants and cafes listed in the hotel facilities. Found out from another source that the pool closes on 30th September as does most of the bars cafes etc!! I also found out that they expect you to pay 80 euros for gas and 50 euros for electric per week! Therefore I cancelled as I'm not paying to stay somewhere that is basically closed and over a mile to the nearest alternative facilities.

  This may is stayed at marineledda/ baia,the place itself is very scenic and the views oustanding. Plenty of beaches and boats. The downside is this complex is not fully open until June and you will need transport to get around and see this beautiful island. I cannot thank and praise enough Maria and Jon for their help and kindness to make this holiday spectacular. Wishing those who do venture all the best.

  Not the best!

  I arrived in the evening of Monday the 12th, only to find that the reception was closed and that I couldn't check in, luckily I was able to stay the night with a friend before she returned to Scotland.Eventually, via email, I managed to find the reception and was told that I should have called. I tried calling and it rang out.The details sent by Opodo were for 2 people even though I was traveling solo, so then prices had to be recalculated for the tax. I also had to pay for towels, and I don't mean beach towels but hand and bath towels, which should be standard. There also wasn't any soap in the apartment, and only 1 roll of toilet paper (probably so that you have to use their supermarket). The complex advertises fast wi-fi, which is not true at all. You have to be close to the reception office for the wi-fi, and 3 of the days it failed to work.I really feel that my first trip to Sardegna would have been better if it wasn't for my stay at Villaggio Marineledda and I definitely wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

  Be careful of extra costs and outdated flats without air conditioning.

  We had a very bad experience with this apartment residence, so we wanted to warn other people to be aware that what you have paid upfront is not what you will end up spending, as many costs are hidden and extra. For example when we checked in we discovered that we had to pay £35 each just for having sheets and towels, for a family of 5 with 3 young kids this means £175 extra pound, on top of the £60 that we also got charged extra for cleaning. As we were there for only 2 nights we basically had to pay an enormous amount compared to the cost we planned. At check in we were just given the keys of the flat and no explanation and when we entered we discovered there was no AC. This resulted into sleepless nights and a very uncomfortable stay during the day as the temperature outside is 30/32 degrees and inside it was not much colder as there was no wind. We tried to sleep with open window but were waken up by mosquitoes and noises, it was really not the holiday we were hoping to have. The flat had a great view and veranda but this was the only positive aspect, everything inside was outdated and damaged. Toilet flush not working, TV not working, windows close poorly, very uncomfortable beds and terrible super fin and rigid pillows. Before arriving we spent a week in a flat at Cala del Farò and that was a tremendous stay, no hidden prices, wonderful structure and efficient flat, so we were really sad to have then moved to this other structure where we had so many issues and we even paid more.   Amazing location just few things to mention.

  We just landed from our 7 day stay at this beautiful location! The view is breathtaking, accommodation is good washing machine, towels and lots of space. There are few restaurants around, also a supermarket which is handy for essentials. The only few things were the pool which had strange opening hours and may I add the pool lifeguard/manager is extremely rude shouting at kids and pretty much everyone hence why not many people were using the facility which is a shame even restaurants could benefit more from it. Second of all the check in procedure is very confusing because its not stated where that is when trying to call number on the website no one picked up the phone. However ladies at check in where helpful. Overall great place. And would def come back!
