    We had an amazing time at the Oasis hotel. Sadly, having made the reservation with booking.com several months ago booking.com cancelled the booking on the day before departure without letting me know despite the fact that we had also booked through them, the airport hotel for the night before departure. Having established that booking.com were completely unsupportive I contacted the reservations team at the hotel. Paula was really helpful and reserved the room which managed to reduce my stress significantly. We arrived to find the hotel was very relaxed and grounds were beautifully maintained. We found everyone in the hotel were very friendly. Everywhere in the hotel and on the beach was very clean. The breakfast was really good with lovely cakes, cooked breakfast and cereal. We loved the barista and our morning cappuccino. We paid to have a couple of evening meals which were delicious The room was a good size with balcony overlooking the pool. We took a travel kettle having read previous reviews. The walls were very thin but the beds were comfy enough for us to have a good nights sleep. The hotel is set near beautiful pinewoods which lead to a beach with crystal clear sea. The town of Alghero is within walking distance. We walked in several times and are both in our late 60s. We also caught the bus there having purchased tickets at the hotel reception. The old town is wonderful, with a mix of old walls and historical buildings, lots of restaurants and souvenir shops. We fell in love with Sardinia and the Oasis hotel and will definitely be back, hopefully before too long. Thanks to all the hotel team who made our stay so special. My only advice is to book directly rather than use booking.com who have failed to correspond in any way to my questions or the official complaint I made.

    Spent a wonderful week in this cosy hotel in Alghero . What we liked :- cleanliness - in the rooms and all over the hotel , including garden and outside pools ;- stuff attitude :friendly , everybody smiling , ready to help but with a special remark and thanks to all the people working in the restaurant ;- only 10 minutes walking to a beautiful beach - both public and private ;- only 15 minutes by bus to the wonderful historical center of Alghero ;- the great taste of the food prepared for dinner ;What we did not like : - the walls between rooms seemed very thin but in any case there was no sound proof and sometimes you could hear what the neighbors were talking !!- every evening there was a live concert in the garden , but sometimes the sound volume was too high ;As a conclusion , I give 4 stars for the hotel building ( sound proof problem ) but I must give 6 stars for all the stuff . So the result is 5 stars and It is a place where we could happily come back .

    Very friendly staff. Appreciated them accommodating me with my kettle for my tea. The pools were gorgeous and huge but sadly were delayed so couldn’t use them. Location excellent and a lovely 2km walk into town. Breakfast was great. Room was ok - bed hard but spacious room. A little tired but quaint hotel.

    When we visited Sardinia 13 years ago we promised ourselves we would return to paradise some day.Well, we're back and it is still paradise, just maybe a bit busier. The hotel hasn't really changed much, which is great. It's a beautiful hotel. The rooms are quite spacious with a beautiful veranda looking out over the pool to the rear or the gardens to the front. Each room has a good air conditioning unit which is easy to turn on and off. There is also a security box in the room,ask at reception for the key.The bathroom is good with a great shower. The hotel is spotless and the pool is fantastic and well maintained by the Salvaggatiore.The poolside bar is a treat where you can have lunch or a snack or just enjoy the beer, wine and cocktails. Live music on some nights. Dinner, buffet style, in the evenings are quite good with a different menu each night.The breakfast in the morning is also buffet and has everything possible one could want, hot or cold. Not to mention coffee from the barista.We still have 5 days to go, wish it was more.Finally I cannot finish without mentioning the staff. From first contact at reception, where I learned to say my room number in italian, to the restaurant staff, the pool bar staff and the cleaning ladies each member of staff was polite, friendly, courteous and efficient. Special mention to Fausto whom we remembered from our last trip with affection and was still smiling on our return. Grazie mille, everyone, for helping us enjoy your beautiful hotel.
