Location

The hotel is situated in a quiet area, near the temple plateau, on the Bitti ring road, and is easily reachable by a number of clearways.     We had a lovely stay at Hotel Su Lithu. The room was very confortable, the balcony view was beautiful, and the staff friendly, efficient and extremely customer focused. Nothing was too much trouble, and they did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. The food was excellent, with a strong emphasis on local Sardinian ingredients and cuisine. We especially appreciated that the wine list featured only Sardinian wines, including some from the Bitti area, which made the experience feel authentic and connected to the region. We would happily stay again.

    This Hotel is beautifully located on the edge of a village amongst the hills of central Sardinia close to stunning scenery , interesting villages to visit and pretty, quiet, winding almost mountainous roads. The hotel itself is wecoming and characterful with many original features preserved. We enjoyed an excellent dinner outside on a covered terrace overlooking the valley. Meal, staff and ambience were superb despite the dramatic storm across the valley. We were only booked for one night but wished it could have been two.

    Accommodation is average, the restaurant is excellent. Great location with sweeping views overlooking the town of Bitti and surrounding mountains. But it’s pretty basic accommodation & not sure how it rates 4 stars. The property could do with a makeover. My room at the back of the hotel was cold & and a bit smelly from what I presume was previous smokers with old fashioned tiles on the floor. Furniture was also pretty basic. The bathroom with old fashioned with a very small & rather tight walk in shower. Could not work out how the TV worked. There was wifi which was patchy at best.There is a large outdoor pool which looked good but a bit too cold to try. Had dinner at the hotel restaurant where the food was excellent. Very tasty with generous portions of each dish. Breakfast was also quite good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Worth a visit for the stunning views and excellent restaurant. But don’t expect 4 star accommodation.

    We stayed at Su lithu hotel as a small family run hotel in central Sardinia with a great reputation for food and hospitality, and it exceeded our expectations! The staff were professional friendly and very helpful . Our room was comfortable with a lovely balcony looking over the village of Bitti and the mountains beyond. The sun rises were gorgeous and the evenings eating on the veranda a delite, as was the display from martins, swallows and swifts.The food was delicious with home made ingredients including an array of local pasta. The 4 course menu as part of the half board package was mouthwatering with 2 options per course each night. So many highlights, squid and the babay octopus starters, swordfish with pasta, gnocchi with smoked goats cheese, wild boar Ragu and the stunning trio of meats, all with a delicious array of perfectly cooked vegetables, beautifully presented. The staff service for food and wine was attentive, knowledgeable and a delight every evening.The range of Sardinian wines was extensive and reasonable prices. The vermintino's excellent, the carigano del sulcis 2018 sumptuous, the sparkling Torbaro was great. Even breakfast buffet with fresh fruits boiled eggs and great coffee was a joy to start the day.Booked via Sardinian Places it was memorable!

    Spent two nights and couldnt fault the service or location. The town is within easy reach through ancient alleys and makes few concessions to tourists. The only thing that I found awkward was the selection forms for the next days breakfast I would have preferred buffet style service.
