    Wonderful

We truly enjoyed our three day stay at this resort. Fantastic location, elegant, and spacious and clean rooms. Nice swimming pool and garden. Enough sunbeds and trees to find a place in the shade. This resort is remotely located, so dinner on site is recommended. The menu changes daily and has a small but good choice of local dishes and wines. Food was excellent. One of the best restaurants we visited during our 10 day stay on Sardegna. The only comment I could give is that the drinks from the poolbar are disproportionately high. Other than that, no comments. I can highly recommend a stay at this resort.

    Nice relaxing retreat

Beautiful hotel in amongst the rock formations that sculpt the landscape in this part of Sardinia. The builds are themed to look like Sardinian farm buildings, but behind this facade the rooms are spacious and well equipped, even the lowest priced classic room that we had. Cleanliness was also very good in the rooms, communal areas and even the gardens.Due to the remoteness and the nearest town being 7 minutes drive away, it was very peaceful at any time of the day with no noise whatsoever. We used the restaurant and enjoyed the busyness on the first night where we sat indoors near a local family having a birthday celebration. On the second night we sat outside on the decking set into the rock formation. Food was good value and tasty, very cheap house red wine or a good selection of bottled whites. The pool was cleaned daily and was a good temperature and generally very quiet with no problem getting a sun bed.We didn't use the spa so can't comment on that.

    A homey place you’ll like.

    rating27 Aug 2024

This place was exactly as we suspected and it did not disappoint. Through its simplicity and heritage the place has an inviting old world elegance to it. The room was a good size and bathroom larger than most you’d find in Europe. Of note was the ample shower with good water pressure, which is important to us. The bed was equally comfortable. Generally, the room had a warmth home feeling and the air conditioning worked great. Though we didn’t use the pool but it looked clean enough and thus inviting. Let’s talk about the restaurant. The breakfast was perfect. It had all the right stuff you’d expect and everything was homemade. The prosciutto was the leanest I’ve seen in a long time. Dinner was good too. Every dish met the mark. The only constructive thing I’ll mention was the wine by the glass was a small pour which frustrated me a bit so I just told the young waitress to bring me the whole bottle. I did that both nights we ate there. All in all I recommend the place hands down. Every one there was really nice too. I’d go back.

    Not 4 stars

    rating15 Jun 2024

The rooms were very nice. its a cozy cabin on the grounds of the resort. The resort itself is situated beautifully in the Hills near Arzachena. You can also do a nice 7km round hike via quiet roads around the hotel that take you to the archalogical sites. The rooms as mentioned are good, decent shower and bathroom with ample space. Beds are decent too and airconditioning is fine as well. the room had a nice patio with outdoor seating and you can move your seats easily to sit in the sun or enjoy the lawn.Breakfast is decent. i found the (brown) bread a bit stale/old. items such as croissants and eggs were gone by the time we arrived (9am) and not replaced. The sweet items at the breakfast were pretty good but personally prefer a bit more options in the savoury section.Incredibly disappointing was the fact that the gym costs 15 euros for 2 hours, which is absolutely ridiculous. when you pick a 4 star resort this should be included. ive stayed far and wide and never had to pay for hotel gyms. i understand these things arent free to operate and need cleaning etc too but the price is simply too high. Also bring your own pool towels, unless you want to pay 1.50 euro for each towel change (the three other 3 and 4 star hotels we stayed provided them free of charge). Maybe bring a mattress too because the poolbeds are worn down and sagged. Pool umbrellas were also mostly broken. We ordered salads at the bar and had to wait more than 30 minutes to be served as apparently there is only 1 person stationed in the bar who need to take care of drinks and the food We also had a la carte dinner in the hotel restaurant. it wasnt great either, if you have a car, Arzachena has ample eateries with friendly prices

Wonderful and super relaxing stay, excellent spa

    rating30 May 2024

I had a wonderful stay at the Tenuta Pilastru, everything was perfect, the setting within the rock formations and garden beautiful, rooms are very comfortable with a lovely terrace and an excellent restaurant with delicious sardinian food. The staff are very kind and helpful and I had the best pedicure, a wonderful massage and an amazing facial with Marina at the spa, her calming energy and lovely nature made for blissful treatments! Really recommend this place and am definitely returning. Thanks to everyone!
