  Nice location terrible accommodation

  We let the office know what time we expected to arrive and turned up on time. The check in office is about three miles from the apartments so we had to wait for a member of staff to lead us there. The wait was an hour and if we had been told we would have waited in a cafe or bar. When at last the lady showed up she speeded off in her car and lost us! The apartments are nicely located with a beach a couple of minutes walk away and shops and restaurants about 15 mins walk away. That was the only good think I can say about the place. The staff were grumpy and disorganised, the apartment we had was falling apart and dirty. The pool wasn’t in use apparently because of Covid, but scrolling through reviews it never seems to be open. It was the cheapest place we could find in Golfo Di Aranci but you get what you pay for and if we were going again we would look for a nice Airbnb in Olbia and drive to Golfo

  booked to stay la filasca through easy jet holidays went 13th june 2017Check in for la filasca was at another complex 4 miles away which we didn't know -our taxi driver told us .EasyJet didn't tell us this .Waited hour for office to open and then waited for two other people to be checked in member of staff then closed office and then disappeared with these people ,He came back approx. twenty minutes later checked us in. Charged extra 180 euros service charge for what we don't know (which we never got back) and then drove us ( said car was his mother in laws )to La Filasca, No lift -second floor apartment . (not informed) No air con (not even portable available )Pool is located in hotel Castello not at La Filasca ( Photos with pool on website show hotel Castello in background not La filasca or Complex Terza spiaggia ). Couldn't find pool on complex because there wasn't one (not told pool in neighbouring hotel 500m walk form La filasca by EasyJet)no sun loungers /chair at pool at Hotel Castello unless your an hotel guest (not informed by easyjet )No access to reception(it was 4miles away)(not informed of this by EasyJet) No wi fi -only available at reception 4 miles away very tired dated apartment rusty clothes airer ,shutters off hinges ,shower head loose ,toilet flush broken ,faulty electrics etcTemp in the 35+ after many tel calls to easy jet hol and them liaising with complex management who promised air conditioning (they turned up with a fan )we couldn't stand another night at the apartment at Filasca .We had already spent four very uncomfortable nights . Easy jet offered to arrange alternative accommodation (were inland too far away )we visited hotel Castello to try and access wifi -they had a room available for 830 euros we liaised with easy jet who would only let us have room for 1200 euros ,because we refused to pay the extra amount they stated we'd broken our contract with them. (states on their website they will price match if you find same accommodation cheaper )EasyJet have dismissed our claims and closed our complaint. Positive beach and restaurant are stunning , golfo aranci lovely

  Avoid apartment Orchidea 18 in Terza Spiaggia and the Rental Agency

  There have been times when I considered writing a review but never really felt the need. In this case I am compelled! We have just returned from Terza Spiaggia in Golfo Aranci in Sardinia. We stayed in Apartment 18 in the Orchidea building. We were able to compare our apartment with friends in the same complex. There were major differencesIt will be quicker if I make a list....Positives-30 seconds from beach and pool-Lovely views to sea-Lovely cafe to sit in the shadeNegatives-35-44 C in Sardinia - no air conditioning or even a single fan-One of the mattresses in main bedroom is broken and you can feel the springs when you try to sleep. Didn't sleep well one night-Not enough chairs for the table-Didn't have enough linen for the beds and my daughter had no single sheet for 2 nights-No washing machine - other rentals do. We were told it is luck of the draw. Paid the same price though-Shower curtain was disgusting and led to flooding in the bathroom-Light-bulb in main bathroom broke on day 2 and was never fixed, despite numerous requests-Table cloths ripped-Sofa bed in the main room with a wafer thin mattress. dominates the room. -Fridge Freezer in the main room, NOT the kitchen-No change of linen/towels in 12 days - despite paying on arrival and it being in the contract-Clothes drying rack was broken, though we did make it stand up-rusty nails left on the balcony -Wardrobe in 2nd bedroom - old and dirty - kids left their clothes in their suitcases-One of the bedside lights in the 2nd bedroom didn't workOverall a very tired, under-invested and un-loved apartment which should not be offered for rent at this price. We spoke to the Italian family who were leaving as we arrived. The chap did not speak English but he did manage to say "bad bed" and "minimal". Their facial expressions said the rest. The apartment also overlooks the staff bedrooms of the hotel opposite. After their shifts at 2am, the staff like to sit outside and chat, drink or play football. Because the doors are open you hear everything. Those with air conditioning would never know. Rental Agency-Largely ignored all emails and requests for help via phone calls-They did send a builder to fix the shower and door handle-Refused to refund the service charge-We did not hire a car otherwise I would have been in their office every day. We had paid all our money and I knew our demands for a refund would be ignored. -Did not deliver sheet and towels as contracted to do soIn every other respect our holiday was perfect. But we hated returning to the apartment every evening. Very upsetting and cast a huge cloud over what was otherwise perfect weather in Sardinia. Make sure you avoid Apartment 18 and be prepared to take your chances with others. You have been warned.
