    Excellent hotel

    rating17 Jan 2026

We loved our stay here. The hotel is outside of the city and although we had issues finding the bus stop outside the train station and ended up opting for a taxi, we were easily able to find the bus stop (U13) after a short and pleasant walk the next morning, which made it an easy and inexpensive way to journey to and from the hotel. I want to mention Jacopa who worked on the front desk - he was really helpful with every request and a credit to the hotel. The hotel restaurant offers delicious food though the restaurant itself did feel a bit clinical and bright and we felt a bit rushed. Room was great. The only issues were the lack of international channels for those of us that don’t speak Italian - arguably a silly thing to be bothered by when visiting another country, but would have been nice to have had some background noise we understood. Also, there was some odd scraping noises at night like tables were being dragged across wooden floors - hotel maintenance etc should be avoided when guests are resting. But overall, a great stay and I’m sure we will be back. Thank you. Great staff at the restaurant makes for an improved experience

    rating30 Nov 2025

We stayed for 4 nights at the Crowne Plaza. Rooms are OK, modern and clean but we found the bed was hard. The hotel is located in a business area so it's not necessarily particularly lively however, we ate at the restaurant 3 nights in a row because Stefano and Daniele were truly fantastic, welcoming, funny, careful with the service and overall making our stay a delight. The staff at the bar was also lovely and we did enjoy our stay. Nice hotel but terrible food.

    rating04 Jan 2025

The hotel is lovely and well and swiftly connected to the city by taxi at around twenty Euros. Rooms are pretty quiet, and very nice, with good bathrooms, and the staff are all friendly and helpful. What let's this hotel down TERRIBLY, for. 4-star hotel, is it's provisions for guests. At 9am on a Sunday morning they had already run out of almost everything. There was no fruit, no bread, no bowls for cereal, and three mornings in a row I had to ask for yoghurt because that hadn't been replenished either. Almost everything was gone, there was so little left of any food except cake, it was woeful! Not all of us want to only eat cake for breakfast! And there wasn't a single spare napkin, anywhere! And the 'hot' food is lukewarm at best, and stone cold by the time you get back to your table with it. As to provisions in the rooms, in a junior suite there were just two chamomile and earl grey teabags, and no black tea at all. There were two sachets of hot chocolate. There was a coffee machine in the room but we were given just one pod of espresso and one of decaf! Two pods in total, in a high-end room, with just one tiny pot of cream for the coffee. We asked downstairs for a glass of milk for our room and and were expected to pay for it. Most days, after housekeeping had been, the tea, coffee and cream were not replenished. The hot chocolate wasn't replaced at all. So the coffee machine was a nice touch but a total waste of time.I found this terrible stinginess around food and drink very hard to understand. It felt like some weird form of rationing! In the bathrooms, nice (branded) gels and shampoos are plentiful, and yet you have to fight like a dog to get a teabag and a pod for the coffee machine!! After three days I gave up asking. This is an international hotel chain. We have stayed at many, around the world, for business and for pleasure. This hotel is lovely, well located, with good amenities and nice staff, but as far as the food and drink options go, it feels more third-world than four star. I've had better at locally-run B &Bs. I probably wouldn't come back here, because of that. It's a shame, but I just can't face a daily battle for a decent cup of tea. Ok for one night, at that, but not for more than half a week. Disappointing experience

    rating26 Oct 2024

On the first day, I took a croissant for my 7-year-old daughter, who didn’t want to come down for breakfast. I was rudely reprimanded by a staff member named M* ( long black hair and wears black glasses). She pointed to a sign prohibiting taking breakfast items to the room. My daughter’s breakfast was paid for, and I wasn’t aware of this rule. I’ve been traveling across Europe for weeks, and in other hotels, I’ve never had any issues. The rude approach was unnecessary and humiliating, ruining my experience. If the hotel enforces such strict policies, they could invest in training that guides staff to treat guests with more empathy and courtesy. Additionally, I didn’t understand the other glowing reviews; I found the hotel just okay – only the bed and the parking were genuinely good. Yes, there is a bus stop right outside, but bus, and it doesnt stop

    rating03 Oct 2024

We chose Padova as a place to stay on the way to Venice. We fell in love with Padova and did not regret our decision for a moment. BUT - although the Crown Plaza was a decent place to stay, it did not live up to its promise. It advertises a bus stop just outside. Yes, there is a stop, but no frequent bus, and it rarely stops (unkess you wave wildly). All of this means that what we saved by not paying the exorbitant Venice prices, we spent on taxis. If you dont have a car, consider carefully whether this hotel is for you.`Otherwise, if you like retro and are into the `70s, this is your place...on the plus side, its clean, and the restaurant is quite decent (if only because there^s no place else nearby).
