  I was happy with my stay here. It was good value, clean and a great location to visit the area by car as it is close to the highway and it had free parking.Breakfast was OK, but repetitive. After 5 nights, it gets old very quickly.On the second night, we had a horrible fire alarm issue at 2am that they could not fix for 2 hours... So a wasted night of sleep, no apology, no explanation.Also on the last night, we decided to visit the town of Reggio Emilia by bus. Front desk is clueless about the buses and could not give much information.Take the MINIBUS M instead of the Bus 9 (which was terrible).All in all, being the only chain hotel in the region, I would return because it represents good value and cleanliness.   We stayed at the Holiday Inn in Reggio Emilia for 3 nights and had an excellent stay. The representatives at the front desk were absolutely the best. Very friendly and helpful. They assisted with items at the hotel, had great local suggestions for food & travel, engaged in conversation each day, and went above & beyond to make our stay as comfortable & convenient as possible. You can tell that they truly care. In addition, the hotel itself was very welcoming and well maintained. Had a spacious & bright lobby, and a nice variety for free breakfast & coffee. Our room was clean, the shower was great, and the bed & pillows very comfortable. Overall, this was a fantastic hotel. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.   OK for one night - some work needed

  Had a one night stay here on business. On-site parking was availabe with plenty of spaces for the capacity of the hotel. Check-in was OK, had a short wait as there was only one member of staff checking people in and it was just after the working day so there was a number of people queing when I arrived. All hotel features/ammenities were explained during the check in process.Room was a standard Holiday Inn room with a large bed, small working area and large bathroom. I'm unsure if it was just my room or if all rooms had disabled access/support facilities around the room (such as low handrails etc). One issue was there was a single light in the bathroom that wouldn't turn off - unsure if this is a safety feature but with the door being part glass, it meant there was always an element of light in the room, even when trying to sleep. The walls/door also didn't offer very good soundproofing so I could hear everything going on in the corridor and surrounding rooms which meant that I didn't have a great nights sleep. The Wi-Fi was suitable for streaming, however I didn't test any business features but I would assume it would work well enough for those too. Overall an OK stay for one night - however I would have likely looked to move if I was in the area longer due to the lack of sound-proofing.   Great staff, but internet is unusable

  Nice staff, but the internet is unusable. We were first assigned a room on the first floor. Upon entering we realized that it is a smoking room. We asked for another room and got assigned to a room on the 4th floor this time. It is an old build that has been refurbished. It is fine for a one night stay. The main issue is that the internet is not usable in the room. The coffee machine was broken at breakfast. The great staff attitude more than made up for the lack for the broken coffee machine. But I have to deduct some points for internet being unusable. Parking is free.   Average place but hits the necessity for a hotel

  Stayed at holiday inn for 6 nights for the reggio conference and the place was packed with people who’s in Reggio for the same purpose. Breakfast selection was small, the dining area reminded me of a cafeteria in a school/factory - very simple, serves the purpose, no aesthetic quality whatsoever. Serves good coffee- ask the staff for a freshly made cuppa, foc! They serve dinner so was quite a good option for tired travelers. Try the salt baked fish - surprisingly good. Price is reasonable too. Room is really simple but still comfortable enough. There’s nothing much nearby except for a few restaurants, supermarket and decathlon. Short taxi ride away from town center if you wish to get out- costs around 11 euros. Staff at front desk will be happy to help you book a cab.
