    Great location near the centre of town and within easy walking of all the major sites. Delicious breakfast buffet served on the veranda with a good selection. The lemon tart was especially tasty and baked that morning by one of the staff.There’s a Lidl nearby if you need to stock up on picnic basics, and a couple of lovely restaurants within a 5 minute walk… La Torretta and Cantina de’ Corvi… highly recommend both for delicious dinners.

    Very nice hotel close to everything. Parking lot was a plus. Extensive breakfast. If you stay in the apartment, know that it is accessed separately from the hotel up a cobblestone alley, is in a large, brick, vaulted room and does not have windows. We liked it but it may not be everyone’s cup of tea.

    Close to Everything with Great Buffet Breakfast!

    We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Charleston! Our room was a superior room that was very attractive and had a very comfortable bed. The buffet breakfast was great! The location of the hotel was very convenient, about a 3 minute uphill walk to the main shopping street in Spoleto and in walking distance to all of the sights and restaurants. Even the train station was only a 20 minute easy walk. The staff spoke English and were very accommodating. Highly recommend!!

    Not a tempting place to stay

    Reception not a tempting place to stay, fairly overpowered by cheap potpourri aroma.Nothing wrong with the bedroom, but the bed wasn’t made or pillow cases changed in a week. Shower leaked presumably into the floor boards. Bidet didn’t function properly. Toilet had an incessant drip, which was rectified, but the repair only lasted a day. Miserable breakfast spread. Nothing kept chilled including yoghurt and juice. Awful cappuccino.

    We did not stay at this hotel, however, my friend and I were exhausted and asked to sit down in the outside area, checking at reception if we could order a drink. The two women at reception were less than friendly nor helpful. They spoke to my friend in Italian and said that usually only guests were permitted to sit outside and order a drink, but given that the hotel was without customers we were allowed to sit there and they would take our order. We waited outside for some time whilst they continued their conversation. I went in to ask for a drinks list. I was told quite rudely that they didn’t have one-they only had Prosecco and wine. Beside ghe reception desk, there was a bar which had on display many different spirits and drinks, however, the women on duty weren’t prepared to offer them to us.I asked if we could have a gin and tonic and they finally agreed to this.I then went and sat back at our table. We waited again whilst they continued their conversation and ignored our requests.
