    A place that is still steeped in spirituality today Former cloistered monastery with various frescoed rooms and 17th-century furniture, along with a charming church.Breakfast in the refectory with frescoed walls is an emotional experience that stays with you.The rooms are decent, equipped with everything necessary, including a hot/cold air conditioner, useful during cold periods like this May.     Very nice location being an old monastery, but the room we stayed in did not. Large but old. Even the windowless bathroom gave off a peculiar smell. It was too hot.     Really mystical experience. We slept in a very quiet place and practically alone. Evocative, a religious place, of peace. Room facilities are "scarce", the bathroom is basic and dated, but it is an experience to live in life. You can breathe an authentic and unique Italy.     We stayed only one night, the room was large, an apartment, spotless. Beds very comfortable, in a historical context and certainly very nice.     For the price, hard to beat. Small basic but clean room, with window that opens. Surprisingly good breakfast by Italian hotel standards, e.g. no cooked egg dishes; mostly cakes, cereal, yogurt, etc. Interesting change of pace to stay in monastery.
