Location

This hotel is set in its own park and enjoys a secluded location, yet is only a stone's throw from the historic centre of Gubbio. Shopping venues are approximately 500 from the hotel and night owls can head to the nearest nightspots, which are some 800 m from the hotel. The bus station is around 500 m from the hotel, and the railway station is some 20 minutes away by car. Sant Egidio Airport is 40 km and Falconara Airport 90 km away respectively.

Facility

The hotel was built in 1631. 95 rooms, including 3 junior suites, 12 single rooms and 79 double rooms, are available to guests in a 4-storey main building and a 5-storey auxiliary building. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. A cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine are available. Wireless internet access (for a fee) allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities and 5 lifts. A fireplace creates a cosy atmosphere. There are a number of shops as well. Guests of the hotel can enjoy various recreational facilities, including the garden, during their stay. The pool complex guarantees comfortable swimming with its pleasantly heated water and a special area just for children. Guests can treat themselves to refreshing drinks at the poolside snack bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub (for a fee).     This hotel is stunning. I’m with a group of Harley riders doing a tour of Italy and this hotel is by far one of the best, the first impression doesn’t do it justice. It’s situated in a beautiful village.

    The service at this hotel cannot be beat. Gabriella at the front desk is one of the best in the business. Our servers in the bar and for breakfast and dinner were incredible! Hotel is incredibly clean!

    This lovely hotel met our expectations in every way. It’s not cheap (for us at least) but it provides a high-end experience without being snooty. The staff are highly competent and friendly, many of them multilingual. The public spaces and grounds are lovely, including many impressive art works. My only quibble is that the selection of wines by the glass in the bar are decidedly uninspired. For one of the great wine growing regions of the world, they have missed the opportunity to showcase the glories of Umbrian wine in their by-the-glass options.On a practical level, as a point of departure for visiting Gubbio, the town is walkable from the hotel (maybe 10 minutes to the edge of the town center).

    I love this hotel and everything about it. The rooms are very comfortable, the grounds, pool & gym are well maintained, the restaurant menu is delicious and the staff are all exceptionally helpful, and friendly.     Staff was not interested in guests, just doing a job. Lobby bathroom was down a dark hallway, which led to another darker hallway which led to an even darker bathroom entranceway. The room was adequate but the bathroom floor was very slippery. We had to put towels on the floor to prevent slipping. Breakfast experience was not good. No friendly staff, 2 coffee pots were empty, had to flag down a server who had to brew more, card on the table said they had tea or cappuccino but no server came to our table, had to flag one down again to get a cappuccino. When a guest went to the front desk to ask a question, front staff person did not bother to get up from her desk ( the desk was on a platform at the back of reception) to come and assist the guest She just asked, "Can I help you?" What happened to customer service where you stop what you're doing and come to the guest to help?
