    26 of us (9 couples) stayed for 5 nights to visit various cathedrals, churches and museums in the area. Our stay at Hotel San Luca could not have been better. Lovely airy rooms, fabulous breakfast in a large well decorated breakfast room, very attentive staff. A great situation - 5 minutes walk from a travelator taking the elderly up to the old town. Whilst I was the leader of the group (an Arts Society) , all the other members agreed their rooms were excellent. We were also able to have use of the bar in the evening at very reasonable rates.

    We chose the Hotel San Luca for its location. We toured central Italy in a rental car and tried to avoid having to drive into the town centers. The San Luca is easy to reach on arrival and has a secure parking garage. It also is a superb hotel. We had a lovely room with a terrace - quiet, spacious and comfortable. The service at the hotel is impeccable. You leave your room key with the concierge and they would always have our key ready and waiting the minute we walked in the door. The breakfast spread was outstanding, again with very good service.And the location proved to be perfect for accessing the Spoleto moving walkways up to the town center. Just a short walk from the hotel is the base of the walkway which can take you all the way to the Roca and aqueduct at the top of town, with other exits to the main plazas lower down. A wonderful system for locals and visitors alike, we used it several times a day during our stay.

    Excellent Stay for Discovering Spoleto and Central Umbria

    Excellent location—just a short walk to free parking and a nearby supermarket. The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and communicative, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. The breakfast was delicious, and the room was spacious and comfortable. Highly recommended!

    My wife and I were very pleased with our stay at Hotel San Luca. It is in an excellent location and very quiet in the evening. The room was lovely and breakfast very good. The staff was very helpful. Spoleto is a beautiful town to visit and close to Assisi, Perugia and other Umbrian cities.     Large impersonal hotel in a former tannery by the city wall. Good sized, light and airy bedroom and large well fitted bathroom. Bar in lounge serving costly drinks with at one time intrusive electronic music emanating from reception (presumably reflecting the odd personal taste of the middle/aged male custodian). Good breakfast spread, with hot eggs, wurst, croissants, various cakes and yoghurts (though all were sweetened) Federica Zuccari, Proprietario at Hotel San Luca, responded to this review Dear Sir or Madam,we find quite strange that you define our San Luca "impersonal": probably this is the only adjective we were never associated to...We are happy that you liked the size, the light and the airy bedroom and bathroom, as well as the breakfast.Sorry about the music, even if it is singular that you found it so intrusive, since it comes out from a simple pc, quite far from the bar.
