  Horrible worst night ever

  If you ever been in a run down hotel , although it doesn’t seems like it, sure feels like it. Old fashion keys, horrible hard mattresses ( better sleep on the ground) over pricey, smells of cigarettes. Room TV. Was size of my monitor computer at home. The at most worst was that the ac controlled by the hotel not allowing you to adjust, and it is shot down in the middle of the night were the room was like a 90 degrees .In two words “” RUN AWAY”Another thing DO NOT BOOK IT WITH BOOKING . When I wanted to leave after a night less sleep. The hotel insisted of me paying for the two nights although I stayed one night . They said it is BOOKING policy …. About contacting booking ….   We spent the weekend of August the 18th we bought a very good package that included the spa and massage. breakfast and dinner, my wife was very pleased with massage therapist lady.Monday the 21st at check-out i realized that i was. Charged for the small water bottles that the housekeeping stuck in room refrigerator. 2 euro each one. We thought were free. and the waitress. at dinner also charged my room by mistake. Check your final bill at check out, otherwise takes long time to have the money back to your account. like it happened to me.The rooms were spacious and spotless, and crisp bed sheets. The breakfast buffet was good, with a good variety of options! The staff were attentive and went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble.the restaurant menu is small but covers appetizer. And main course, some items like the steak have a few euros as extra copayment and for the dessert there is a better choice of pastry on breakfast buffets.the hotel is far from the village. but if you don't have a car the city bus services are very good.   Very clean rooms with good cleaning staff that kept room nice every morning. Utilities in bathroom were 2 star level (shower water was either hot or cold with weak water pressure). Lights in dark hallway to rooms didn’t turn on at night even though they were supposed to be automatic. Breakfast was 2 star level with low quality of fresh ingredients. We weren’t unhappy with this place but just want users to know it wasn’t 4 star level.   This is supposedly a “spa & wellness”, really just a hotel that leased out a space to a spa-like facility and has a pool. Hotel is in a quiet location, has beautiful views, the bed was comfortable and had free parking. However, this is not 4 star luxury - the bathroom is old and worn with fluorescent lighting, no stable water temperature and with cheap toiletries. The room is sparse with cheap wrinkled linens and the breakfast was lousy (not replenished by 8:45 am so slim choices, no glasses or cutlery, cold eggs, no fruit left, etc). The restaurant was closed the night we stayed but after the breakfast experience, it was probably a good thing. Certainly not worth the price we paid.   Not as good as it was

  The hotel is rapidly going down. We had been there before and had enjoyed our stay. The new management seems to add little to the hotel. The pool in the wellness centre was very cold. We found the rooms run down. The breakfast was memorable for its empty plates. We went down at 8:30 and the scrambled eggs were finished and so was the ricotta cheese. Most people had left half eaten croissants. We did ask about the food but the response was rather vague. The restaurant was terrible. The service was excellent but the food was really bad. I am sorry to say we will not return.
