  Be aware if you are allocated room 244; the shower is not water tight and will inevitably leak water all over the bathroom and into the entrance area. The bathroom is designed for disabled people and the shower does not seal, but there is no floor drain. The fact that there was a towel spread around the outside of the shower on the floor when we entered alerted us to the fact that there would be water issues. I headed down to reception to acquire more towels and we spent half an hour mopping up the floor. We created a dam around the shower with the towels for the other showers then wrung out the towels after each shower. For a hotel that has a variety of signs up spruiking their environmental sustainability awareness, the necessity for so many towels makes a mockery of their efforts. The obvious water damage to the bottom of the bathroom door, entry door and door architrave indicates that this is a frequent occurrence. We insisted on changing rooms for our second night as there was no further availability on our first night, which improved the situation infinitely, although our new room was on the other side of the hall and there was noticeable traffic noise and the plunger in the bathroom basin was missing. There is a general appearance that the hotel is not particularly well maintained. The staff were accommodating enough and generally pleasant, but there was no acknowledgment of the problem and no apology for the inconvenience. The breakfast was very typical and average, conducted in a small, noisy area off reception; we’ve certainly had better. For what we paid, I cannot recommend this hotel.

  Well situated hotel for early morning checks out and drive to the airport, very clean and comfortable room. Polite staff. There is a room for late diner.

  Stayed here for 1 Saturday night as part of my weekend visiting Pisa and Lucca. The room was very basic - no kettle or even a glass to pour myself a drink of water (not that they even provided just 1 complimentary bottle in the empty mini fridge). That said, it was clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower worked well. Unless you are hiring a car or planning to use a taxi, the hotel is served by the number 5 bus from Pisa Centrale Station, this runs Monday to Saturday only and as I discovered, not beyond 9pm. So after eating in Pisa centre on Saturday night I was stranded with no way back. It’s not easy to flag a cab in Pisa centre and the apps are tricky to navigate (Uber couldn’t connect me with a local cab firm). I rang the hotel reception and asked for them to help me arrange a cab which they were very reluctant to assist with. They eventually agreed to text me a number of a taxi firm - I have been home now for 5 days and am still waiting for that text message. As a single female traveller alone in the city late at night, asking for their help I found this quite concerning. (I eventually had help from a lovely police officer at railway station who gave me a cab number). The air con overnight was noisy, the noise from the road disturbed me, and the sounds from other guests in the corridor wasn’t ideal either. Will not stay here again.
