    perfect cuisine, meaning best pasta and wine in a really relaxing area. Chef was so kind to tell us even some recipe secrets. We can only recommand to everyone and hope to come back! Good luck to this lovely staff, waiters and cooks!

    If You are of Spartan Character and Motoring Recommended

    The venue and surrounding is idyllic especially for Nature Lovers. Set in the midst of a Woodland Park it is a nature reserve with deer, foxes and wild boar roaming all over the place. This is a marvelous place to visit and stay in for a few nights especially if visitors are of Spartan character. Although situated in the middle of a wood it still very accessible by car (the only way to get there besides Taxi). Pisa Centre is a 15 minutes drive away. The Hotel itself is really more of a hostel with very little akin to a Hotel per se. Reception service is limited to 12 hours mornings and afternoons and closes down after 8.pm. The person taking care of us gave his utmost to make us feel welcome and even stayed after hours to welcome us to our rooms. The downsides are, maintenance and decor is very lacking - microscopic TV, no lifts, the on site restaurant - very substandard especially with breakfast (no warm food/ English breakfast), very weak Wifi / telephony signals and a small bathroom that was rather rundown and melancholic in decor. But the room was large and comfortable enough, also containing a safe although lacking AC - a problem on warm humid days if visiting during summer. In our room the mattress was collapsed at one end but it was turned around in such a way as to mitigate the bad effect. For the shortcoming of acceptable food facilities, the upside was a very decent place exists 12 minutes walking distance up the road to Poldino Restaurant . Booking is recommended as this restaurant is in high demand.

    Sometimes you book a hotel last minute and end up with a real bargain.Well this was one of those occasions.This is a palacial building in a national park that is full of history and character.Its such a good price for what you get.Breakfast is served in another part also great.People are friendly.Of course there are some things not perfect but come on it’s amazing here.Enjoy this amazing place

    Not the royal residence I was expecting

    Set in wonderful parkland, from the outside it looks impressive ,but the interiors let in down, the rooms were quite basic and boring. There were no in room faciities and on arrival we were told that breakfast would be served in the resturant bar about 100yards away. That night we went to get something to eat, we were told it was closed for three days. The place is clean enough and though it was quiet the overall experience was a little disappoining

    We had such a wonderful time here. The hotel was lovely, the room was very comfortable and clean. The staff were so friendly, helpful and welcoming making us feel very relaxed. Breakfast was good and the evening restaurant was excellent. The national park was absolutely beautiful!!
