    Girly stay at Pisa hotel

    Our third time staying in this lovely hotel. The location is perfect, easy flat walk from the station and to the tower. Right next to the river for a different stroll. Plenty of cafes, restaurants and gelaterias nearby. The staff are all extremely friendly and helpful, special thanks to Sacha Gilbert for helping us out with the air con and for being lovely. Also thanks to Luigi for being so welcoming and friendly. The whole hotel is like a museum with so many interesting items to see. As this was a return visit we saw some changes, it is a work in progress and as long as you don't expect everything to be modern and appreciate it for what it is you will enjoy it. Enjoyed the roof terrace in the late afternoon sun. Breakfast is good with plenty of choice, although missed not having fruit basket this year. Extremely comfy mattress helped provide a good night sleep. Overall a great stay again ☺️

    After a week touring Tuscany we decided to stay in Pisa to explore the town and booked here for one night. The term ‘historic’ is being used to hide a lack of maintenance and cleaning. From the moment you walk in it’s an awful experience! After trying everything to find other accommodation, and even an earlier flight, we were forced to stay.As mentioned in other reviews, electrics look seriously questionable. Bathrooms are like a scene out of The Shining…. with a lack of water, stains and strange noises…. The beds are not ‘vintage’ they are decrepit. Towels had holes in them! The hotel is also on the main road and, with a lack of decent windows, the noise throughout the night of people, cars and then street cleaners is loud!I don’t believe I have ever given a bad review as I look for positives but there are non….

    Good location to train and Tower but Rm 310 next to alley, VERY noisy. Only plug in I could use was in bathroom. No on site laundry facilities. Breakfast starts at 7. Nice staff.

    Quirky location with no hot water, serious infestation of dust mites/ bed bugs and abject staff. Historic is one thing but lacking basic hygiene standards in a major European tourist attraction is not acceptable. Love holidays hang your heads in shame! When did you last audit this health risk of a building??? 1st night no hot water, second day full power cut, no electricity or hot water ( due to pumps not running). Complaints were dealt with in a faulty towers style! “ run the water for longer and it gets warmer”! They said!! 25 minutes later! Cold water, which was also brown. I used a spare pillow out of a wardrobe and got eaten alive! This hotel should not be on the market, it’s a complete breach of contract as misleading and not as described and a trading standards matter for all holiday companies that promote it. STILL waiting for a response from Love Holidays. Pictures of my bites attached below.👍👍

    Title: Very Disappointing Experience – Bed Bugs and No Responsibility TakenUnfortunately, our stay at this hotel turned into a very stressful experience.During our stay, we were bitten by bed bugs. As many people know, bed bug bites do not always appear immediately — the itching and redness developed later. We have records of our check-in time and photos taken shortly after arriving, which clearly indicate that the bites occurred while we were staying at the hotel.The situation did not end at checkout. After returning home, we had to take serious precautions to prevent possible infestation. This included medical expenses, washing and dry-cleaning all of our clothes, disinfecting our luggage, and even taking preventive measures at home to protect our environment and our cat. The stress and inconvenience this caused were significant.What was most disappointing was the hotel management’s response. Instead of acknowledging the issue or showing concern, we were told that we might have been bitten outside the hotel. No responsibility was taken, and no attempt was made to offer a reasonable solution.This review is not written to damage anyone’s business, but to honestly share our experience. Hygiene and guest safety should be a top priority in any hotel. Unfortunately, in our case, both the incident and the handling of it were deeply disappointing.I hope the management takes this matter seriously in the future so other guests do not experience the same situation.
