    On arrival i was very impressed with the welcome i received from Isabella the receptionist. A lovely warm welcome- she informed me i coulntveat until 8.45 as this was the only time available but she said she would try and accommodate earlier which she duty did. The hotel is extremely tired looking with a definite need to paint the walls at least - Carpets could be changed but I realise that is expensive. However the biggest problem is the dinner. I ordered a burger and french friend. A dry burger was throw up on undercooked chips - not a sign of a piece of salad - i ate it as i was travelling all day but it was worse than terrible . The best part of the meal was a sorbetto but unfortunately served with a fork !!! A first for me !! It is not a cheap hotel as I paid euro 81.00 for the night which I get in London heathrow in the Premier Inn with superb dinner and breakfast.What a pity when you have wonderful staff like Isabella out front and you can't get a kitchen staff together .Also i didn't understand why i would have had to wait until 8.45 to eat as the restaurant was nearly empty except for a few men eating plus a group of atmround ten men

    When booking the hotel, we are not advised that AC is not operational. Only advised of this when we overhear one of the other guests.They advise us that it is against Italian law to turn on AC in May. We did a quick search on Internet and found that was a complete lie. There is no such law.After complaining with lots of arguments they agreed to turn on the AC in our 5 rooms. Only to find in the middle of the night they turned it off. We then had to open the window, but hotel is on a busy main road - so noise was unbearable and could not get a good night's sleep.Main problem with all this was the attitude of the staff at reception.

    Filthy room, dirty carpet and smelly aircon. Only clean spot was the bathroom. Really disappointed in both the hotel and the fact that booking.com consider this a 4* hotel, it is nowhere near that. Doesn’t give any confidence in booking.com. Nowhere this hotel could have been renovated, unless it was renovated to look like a 70’s hotel. Food in restaurant (restaurant is an exaggeration) was boring, worse than lousy cafeteria food. Area around hotel is worn out and creepy

    Lovely staff honestly made the visit. very Italian area and all of the reception team spoke english and helped us with recommendations for things to see and helped us book taxis. Daniel was the star of our holiday and he told us so much knowledge about bari and was just really kind and always spoke to us and was like our friend whilst we stayed. Dinner was lovely the homemade pasta was flawless and breakfast was a lovely selection. the room was large, a bit basic by appearance but had everything we needed and a mini fridge!

    I am probably not the kind of guest that this hotel normally caters to. It is a decent enough hotel with small and clean rooms with all the usual amenities. Breakfast was a bit of a letdown after the previous hotel I stayed at but not bad at all, just less varied. There is a small seating area in front of the hotel, which was nice. It is possibly a good choice for somebody with own transportation.
