    NEVER AGAIN!! RIDICULOUS and DISGUSTING.

    rating05 Aug 2025

NEVER AGAIN!! RIDICULOUS and DISGUSTING.We stayed at this place for 18 painfully long days, booking three rooms: one for me, my wife, our son, and our toy poodle; one for my mother; and one for my in-laws. The result? A disastrous experience from every point of view. The rooms are tiny, the bathroom fixtures ridiculously small—basically child-sized. The shower was so small it was practically unusable. In one of the rooms, the sink had an infrared sensor, so washing your face required two people: one to keep their hands under the sensor and the other to wash up. As inconvenient as it was absurd. It felt like a joke...Hygiene was severely lacking – an example for all - a glass of milk used on the first day stayed on the bedside table until the end of our stay — never removed. The floors were constantly dirty, and every time we came back to the room, we were greeted by a nauseating sewer smell. Staying in the room was torture. I couldn’t figure out where the smell was coming from, but it was disgusting. The rooms had zero soundproofing. You can hear your neighbors perfectly, and if you get noisy ones… good luck. When we booked, we were told dogs were allowed everywhere. In reality, on the first evening we were denied access to the restaurant with our dog, even though we had paid for half-board.The hotel restaurant is unbelievable: no tablecloths, low-quality napkins (those washable, non-absorbent ones that feel dirty), hard plastic glasses, and cutlery that inevitably falls directly onto the dirty table. The overall hygiene was borderline unacceptable. The food was the final blow: bland, overly salty, poorly cooked, and made with the lowest quality ingredients. After just two days, I asked to cancel the half-board. From then on, we had to drive every time for lunch and dinner to reach the only decent restaurant nearby (completely unrelated to the hotel), about 500 meters away. Every meal became a logistical nightmare: a boiling hot car, no parking spots, and multiple fines. The hotel parking is also poorly managed: daily beach guests are allowed in, while hotel guests are often pushed to the second parking lot (if the main one is full)—far away, unshaded, and sandy. Dirty car guaranteed from day one. A minor detail? Not really. Just another clear sign of total disorganization. The staff? Disappointing. Rude, unfriendly, lacking even the basic skills of tourist hospitality. The constant feeling was that we were a burden, not guests. The hotel management seems focused on cutting every possible cost, with no interest in service quality: limited napkins, obvious food recycling, stale croissants for days. Professionalism is entirely absent. It feels like they’re on the path to closure, just trying to scrape together the last bit of cash. The mid-level staff—the ones supposedly coordinating the service—are simply unqualified. The sea is MAYBE the only positive note, but it’s not enough to outweigh everything else. It was often rough because of the wind and so unusable. The billiard table looks 30 years old, and the ping pong table has broken paddles…, JUST SPEND €20 ON A DECENT SET!I will never return to this hotel or any of its affiliates. I strongly advise against it to anyone. I would have left on day two, but couldn’t find availability elsewhere.I hope this review is helpful to others. Also, I didn’t see anything resembling the food shown in the pictures on the website. It’s a mystery (?!) how you even have any positive reviews. Your only future is full closure… hospitality is not your trade and business. At checkout, I paid every single cent without blinking. You didn't deserve it and you don’t even deserve this review—I wasted 15 minutes writing it. But honestly, you don’t deserve any more guests, so I feel it’s my duty to inform them. And I truly hope that everything I paid ends up going into the red.Goodbye, NEVER AGAIN!

Read this! If you want the truth!

Where should I start? The experience of my family and friends at ecoresort le sirene was somewhat positive ONLY because the beach is very beautiful and the hotel management uses this obviously not caring about constant complains , with bad customer service in repetitive instances where the hotel management demonstrates careless attitude. If you see beautiful pictures of the location, of activities , attractions is mostly due to when the hotel was managed few years ago, now the location is run down, there is no care of the facility and there are not attractions or activities available . I can just mention few things that happened toour group. Our friend had a birthday and we ordered a very nice cake to a famous bakery in the area and provided to the hotel to bring in the evening of the same day so we could surprise our friend. I was shocked when the hotel gave our cake to another party ( they did not buy a cake therefore it was not a swap!) we ended up having a mediocre ‘cake’ made at last minute by the hotel with stored bought whipped cream for our friend celebration. The hotel did not take any responsibility for it!!! At dinner, food is low quality , sometimes if you arrive around 845pm ( dinner is until 930pm) food is not available and again is not great. Many times we could not eat everything , food is just not made well. Dinner is also served as BUFFET style so if you are thinking that there will be a sever at your table taking your order is not the case! We tried lunch ( also buffet) one time and although not excellent , food is certainly better than dinner. Breakfast is a buffet with the same few things repeating every day , with very basic items. In the rooms there are illy pods for coffee. Well, there is nothing in the room that says that each pod is 2.5 euros. At the time of the checkout the manager wanted to fight with me starting I had to pay for coffee which I refused because it is not written anywhere’s and it is an absolute scam! There are so many other things that are not good in this place, like for instance our room for 4 people, we could not even move around, the bunk bed was so dangerous that our daughter staying on the top of the bunk bed had to sleep in a little space on the floor !! Again the hotel could make this place wonderful for the guests but they don’t care, so if you want a beautiful beach but also a decent experience with hotel and food I suggest to go somewhere else!!

Massive disappointment and waste of money

    rating25 Jul 2024

Location is great just by the beach, one pure gentleman at the reception and older chap at the bar. That’s all about the positives. Tiny shower so if you’re bigger person you’ll have to forget about using it (no bath) room cleaning service is a joke, just make the bed and charge you for a coffee (!). Food… people say that Italian food is the best, and those guys try to make everything to make it not truth. We had to go to the supermarket (miles away) to get some decent Italian food and find some places to eat in Gallipoli. In general food is disgusting and tasteless. I’m not joking, the worst holiday experience ever. Also they hosted a massive event and closed some areas including the swimming pool without any notice and even saying sorry. I can imagine they will reply to my review saying the same bs like: “ we are trying hard to do our best etc” but they are not. I never felt so uncomfortable on holiday especially it was our honeymoon so I would suggest to avoid this place if you can Ps there is nothing eco in this place apart the name.

Nice beach but overpriced bad service

    rating31 Aug 2023

We stayed here for 3 nights in August as part of a trip around Puglia.Positives:-Eco resort with recycling everywhere.-Private beach. Beach was nice and we didn’t have to pay the ridiculous cost of hiring sunbeds on public beaches in Italy.-Room had a lovely sea view.-On-site pizza restaurant was very nice. -Family and pet friendlyNegatives:-Small room with tiny balcony-Our main light was broken and flickering. We complained FOUR times and it wasn’t resolved before we checked out. -Everything was chargeable. For example 20 EUR to borrow a beach towel, 2 EUR, lollipops at reception 1 EUR-No iron in room or one you can borrow (you have to pay for laundry services -They advertise spa services on their website and partner websites which you can book with however you need to call the massage therapist who is not onsite and arrange this yourself. I asked reception about this and was told to sort out myself. As a minimum I would have expected reception to do this for me. -Breakfast buffet is very limited. Hot food was only scrambled egg/ hard boiled egg and there was only one option of fresh fruit that was the same every morning and no vegetable options. If you’ve vegan you will go hungry. -Beach sun beds are reserved on the front row despite them being empty most days. We were not even advised that they could be reserved or how they could be reserved as an option.-Mandatory swim hats for the pool. I’ve traveled quite a bit and this is the first time I’ve seen this. Unnecessary.-Staff were not the most helpful. There was a schedule of events and services throughout the week, none of which were explained to us and the schedule (self discovered) was only available in Italian. Pool and beach staff very unfriendly. I would however like to point out that the cleaners and car park attendant were very friendly and helpful. -Rooms were dated and need updating.-The TINIEST shower I’ve ever been inOverall I would not stay here again especially for the price we paid.

    Eco friendly

    rating05 Oct 2019

Just returned from a 10 day stay. Lovely hotel & very eco friendly with lots of recycle bins. Food excellent with plenty of choice. The hotel was on the beach which was fantastic. Shallow waters & miles of sand dunes, if you were feeling energetic you could walk along the shoreline to the town of Gallipolli. At a small charge there was a mini bus from the hotel to Gallipolli which is well worth a visit although this time of year lots of establishments had already closed for the season. If you want to get away from everything then this is for you. If you want to get around & see more of the surrounding area a car is a most. There are no shops nearby so if you want to purchase any extra food fruit of water you are obliged to use the hotel facilities. I personally prefer a local supermarket.
