    Very relaxing place and about 20 minutes from the best known beaches. Recommended. Very friendly staff. Breakfast to improve.     Just entered to check in the room was still dirty than previous guests despite being 14 30.The room very dated.The breakfast very poor. The staff completely misses practically the girl of the reseption must also serve breakfasts absurd. The beautiful pool but the dirty deckchairsNightmarish Leone de Castris, Servizi per gli ospiti/front office at Leone De Castris Wine Hotel, responded to this review Gentile ospite, la ringraziamo per aver voluto lasciare la sua valutazione e le ricordiamo, anche qui,che come ben avrà letto nelle tantissime comunicazioni che il sistema di prenotazioni inoltra agli arrivi, il check in e’ previsto non prima delle 15 ,per cui il suo arrivo in stanza non era opportuno .Sarebbe bastato rispettare quanto previsto e avremmo potuto ospitarla , sin da subito ,in maniera impeccabile,come solito.Come credo sarebbe bastato leggere meglio il menù presente presso il nostro Wine bar, per poter meglio apprezzare la nostra proposta: cornetti,pasticciotti,crostata,ciambella,torta del giorno,cereali,marmellate,prodotti salati del territorio… ci dispiace questo le sembri scarso.. ma siamo sempre pronti a migliorare!     Truly awful, horrible. Surrounded by an industrial plant that produces wine-NOT a vineyard.

    Truly awful-horrible. Clever photography hides the industrial buildings surrounding this hotel and the pool. 'Wine Hotel' sounds lovely... romantic.. vineyard... The reality is that you are at an industrial plant. The rooms are grim, dark purple walls and bedding. Breakfast is adequate. The local streets are just that-streets, not attractive and nothing nearby that is attractive or worthy of a few days visit. Don't go there-you will regret it.     The worst hotel I’ve ever been to. No one there to see you on check in, get left waiting and stranded. No working pool but then apparently it is working just dirty. Nothing around or near. Rude staff, shocking customer service and still awaiting a refund.

    This hotel was very expensive and the hotel pictures looked lovely. When we pulled up in the taxi, we, and the taxi driver, thought we had come to the wrong hotel-it was GRIM and looked nothing like the pictures we had seen! When it states it is a winery we envisaged a vineyard with fields of grapes, whereas the reality is that it is part of a factory in an industrial area. We finally found our way to reception, lovely staff, then our bedroom. That was a further shock, the furnishings were a horrible shade of purple, very dark with zig-zag stripes-everywhere, truly awful. And then there was breakfast... we had been asked to indicate what we wanted to eat on a form provided at check in. The staff then failed to even read what we had ordered and we got bits and pieces, brought out bit by bit, or not as we discovered-not what we had ordered and it was rather chaotic. 4 star is is absolutely not, probably 2 star max, less charm than a travel lodge. Such was our dismay that as soon as we checked in we sought another hotel successfully and checked out the following morning. PIERNICOLA LEONE DE CASTRIS, Direttore generale at Leone De Castris Wine Hotel, responded to this review Gentile Ospite, siamo spiacenti che l'esperienza non abbia soddisfatto le sue aspettative e ci teniamo a darle qualche informazione in più sulla nostra realtà.Il wine hotel è adiacente la storica cantina Leone de Castris ,nota per essere la prima cantina italiana che,sin dal 1943, ha prodotto,imbottigliato e commercializzato in Italia e da subito esportato all'estero,il vino Rosato Five Roses.L'Hotel ,completamente ristrutturato, ha riaperto solo 4 anni fa; ogni ambiente è stato progettato e arredato tenuto conto di ogni particolare utile a dare comfort ai nostri ospiti.La sala da pranzo si affaccia direttamente sulla piscina e questo è stato sempre apprezzato.Serviamo la colazione in maniera attenta e puntuale ogni mattina dalle 7.30 alle 9.30 e proponiamo solo prodotti freschi e del territorio.Ogni membro dello staff si impegna al solo fine di rendere ai nostri ospiti un soggiorno rilassante e piacevole.La invitiamo a soggiornare da noi in futuro, per meglio apprezzare la nostra offerta e farle visitare l'azienda vitivinicola Leone de Castris.La Direzione
