  AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU REALLY WANT TO SEE BARI

  I never review anything on the internet, but I made a trip advisor account just to make sure people knew about how awful this place was. We booked this place in the hopes of getting a rustic, charming experience but what we got was far from that. We stayed here after getting off the ferry from Dubrovnik on our way to Napoli. This was by far the worst travel experience we’ve ever had. Location - 1/5The first thing to note is that this hotel is NOT in Bari. There are no Ubers and the taxi into town costs €30 every time. You’re far from everything and it feels more like a neighborhood hotel not meant for travelers. Rooms - 2/5The actual hotel is converted from a fort of some kind. Our room was in what used to be a closet and had cumbersome lock. The beds were insanely hard. Even with great AC (the one good thing here), we got very poor sleep because of the mattresses. The shower smelled weird and was tiny. I could barely move my arms in there to clean my body. The room we were stayed in was a faraday cage and blocked all cellular service AND the hotel’s Wi-Fi. Service - 0/5The staff acted like they were doing you a favor when you asked them for anything. When we asked about the Wi-Fi situation, they told us there was nothing they could do and couldn’t switch rooms. That’s it. The staff seemed irritated every time we asked them to call us a taxi - remember there are no Ubers or other forms of transport nearby. If you’re used to any form of service at hotels don’t expect that here. Breakfast - 1/5The breakfast was truly the saddest I’ve ever had anywhere. Just some cold, unappetizing meats and baked goods. Really low effort here. At least it was included in the price so there’s that to be thankful for. Overall, I would say this place is one to avoid if you want a good experience. We couldn’t get out of the place quickly enough. Bari itself is charming and well worth seeing. I would say you’re better off staying at a hostel in the actual city over this terrible hotel. This hotel gave me a new low to compare every other place too.

  Great staff - convenient location for airport

  Excellent location- wonderful kind and friendly staff. Served us excellent breakfast at 6:30 am for our early flight - near airport, sea and bari’s historic center is a short taxi ride away. Clean rooms. Great atmosphere as it is originally an 1700s farmhouse - even has the original chapel

  We decided to spend the weekend in Bari. We checked Booking.com and found Masseria Sant'Anna in Bari Palese.The hotel was situated about 2 blocks from the beach. The room was basic and served our purpose.One of the best parts of the stay was meeting Samuela at the front desk.She was friendly, efficient and helpful. We asked her for recommendations for dinner and she gave us the names of three restaurants. On our afternoon walk we noticed one of the restaurants which looked really nice. On the way back to our room we stopped at the front desk and asked Samuela if she could write down the restaurants for us so that we could check them out online and make a reservation. Then we asked if she was going out to dinner with friends or family, where would she go. She gave us another name and we are so glad she did. The restaurant was very good, and even better, it was in a part of town we never would’ve seen had we not been going to this restaurant. It was about a 30- to 45-minute walk from the hotel, which we loved, and as we approached the area, we saw a lot of people (primarily locals), shops, stores and restaurants.After dinner we were able to casually walk around and even stopped for a gelato.As I said, the hotel was perfect for us; and if you’re lucky, you’ll meet Samuela!

  100m from the beach, worked for purpose

  We used this hotel as a base on our last night of holidays as it is so close to the airport.It is clean and worked for purpose, although a little old-looking.Breakfast is a buffet and is plentiful. No going hungry in Italy!Beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are large enough for 2.Not too much in the area but Al Paradise restaurant is very nice and very good value. Parking is on the street but very easy.

  Only 50 meters to the Adriactic Sea

  Breakfast included - Free parking – Nice older hotel.....once a private home and still with many of the antique furnitures....quite neat.....even had a private small chapel.....Hotel is located just 50 metres (walking) from the Adriatic Sea .A huge breakfast room with quite a well presented continental buffet available in the morning.....Our room was small and the bathroom even smaller..but we had a large terrace attached to our room...so that helped...and close to the airport - special taxi rate 15Euro.The staff was extremely helpful and friendly and since the restaurant attached to the hotel is no longer in operation..the staff recommended 'Il Paradise' restaurant - by the ocean - only 10 min walk..and we had a lovely dinner there.The train station into Bari city center is walking distance from the hotel - - take train 9.6 km to City centre - train fare Euro 2.00 p.p OW
