  I have been traveling solo for over 20 years and this is by far the worse experience I’ve ever had in Italy. Aggressive messaging for a week to know the exact time of my arrival, which I did. On the day of arrival, they proceeded to messaged me again to negotiate my arrival time to suit their needs. I was 1h30 min drive away and they wanted me to arrive an hour earlier than I had told them. Why?! there is nobody when you arrive: the key is in a locked box & they give you the combination. So what was the purpose of all those repeated useless communications? Just to annoy people on vacation I guess!Getting to the location is miserable, the old town is a maze of one ways and the only streets with access were blocked by tables and chairs from nearby coffee shops, and another was blocked by city vehicles. Called the reception to get assistance, but they could neither guide me or send me the directions. I was literally one block away! It’s so ridiculous you get the craziest fluff et of messages from this place, eating up your phone data but not one of these messages was about the precise way to get to the house without getting stuck. Ended up going outside of the old town to park and came back on foot. The room was hot and smelled a bit like a sewer on arrival.

  excellent from any perspective

  Location is downtown, in front of Santacroce, great.My room, the suite, was very large, with a window on piazza Riccardi, nice furniture, nice bathroom, corner with coffee/tea, great.Wifi fast enough.Personnel very nice, room properly cleaned every day. The square in front of the room may be a little bit noisy since the room is at a first floor.

  ... apart from the fact that you have to park some distance away ( suggest via Apua - a good choice if you can find a space - pay till 9pm and then free till 9am). Perfectly fine and well appointed but space is an issue. Not a problem considering the central location. Clean and well maintained, every day - nice free sweeties!

  We were welcomed by a wonderful young lady called Silvia who explained everythingto us and went through what we needed to know about the area we were in and all about our room which was very quiet with a very comfortable bed and an excellent shower which is what you need after walking around this little "city" for the day.This little gem is in a perfect location right by the Sant Croc Cathedral and most of the 533 places to eat and drink ! The information centre was just a short stroll from the rooms base as well. Breakfast was just around the corner and a small café who were also very helpful.

  Perfect location and wonderful room

  This is the second time we've stayed at Santa Croce - we booked the same room because we loved it so much last time! We stayed in The Suite, which is very large and has a small balcony with french doors overlooking the square and the street - which is wonderful. The Suite is enormous, with a dressing area, huge bedroom, living room, kitchenette and spacious bathroom. It is beautifully clean and quiet and comfortable. The decor is sparse but stylish, with very modern architectural detailing and great lighting. There is plenty of storage if you are staying for more than a couple of days. We've never needed to use the kitchenette, as the fantastic central location means that you are surrounded by cafes and restaurants. The building is secure and easy to find, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We will be back!
