  Good things:Lovely room & surrounding buildings Very peaceful & tranquilSwimming pool well maintained & a good sizeHelpful staff. The chef in the evening cooked some lovely meals & the flans were always delicious, he came out to check everything was OK on most eveningsThings that could be better:Breakfast: disappointing & the worst we've ever experienced in Italy, having been to 4 other Tui hotels in Italy There were tinned prunes & tinned pineapple rings, only once did we see freshly cut watermelon during our 10 day stay, it would have been lovely to see more freshly prepared fruit available at breakfast. There were fresh kiwis/nectarines/ apples which we could take away.No option to have anything specially cooked ( I asked for a simple pancake) & was told ' no ' Bread for toasting, one choice only, packaged sliced white bread/ no wholemeal or alternatives Pastries available but more on the sweet/ dessert side The fruit juice from the machine was weak squash & tasted horrible ( no proper fresh juices on offer )You had to ask for decent coffees as the machine coffee was dreadful The bread: The bread was awful, white pale undercooked rolls in the evening were atrocious, then those same rolls appeared for breakfast the next day, rock hard in some cases! Overall, they need to really up their game with what they're serving for Breakfast as it's really not good enough We had to go & buy our own bread/ marmalade & cereal to make up for the disappointing spread. We would also recommend a car as the Tui website is misleading, stating that Gallipoli is only a 10 minute drive away, when infact it's about 25 minutes in a very expensive taxi!

  A really disappointing holiday and not what we expected.Firstly, there was no mention of needing to hire a car - and that is a must as it really in in the middle of nowhere. There are two small villages in walking distance. But these are on a main road without any payments and its considered a dangerous walk because of this. We did try, but you either avoid the litter and broken glass bottles on the side of the road or the busy traffic - so not fun.Secondly, the accomodation - was clean and the staff were friendly. However, on arrival at midnight or just after - we received no warm welcome or any information - just taken straight to our room - which was pleasant but lacked natural light as had no windows whatsover. We had travelled for about 9 hours and wasn't even offered a drink.Thirdly, the restaurant - we paid for half board - was very adequate only. Breakfast was continental only and no fresh coffee was provided. Only a coffee machine that provided the worst coffee we had ever tasted and it kept going wrong. Juice machine was ok . The fresh /tinned fruit was the best part.Dinner - we had to chose our meal the day before ( similar to a hospital stay experience) The food was ok - but nothing like the Italian/Meditarrean feast we were anticipating. The wine with the meal was either red or white house wine - no wine menu or other drinks offered apart from bottled water. The restaurant opended at 7.45 and after 9.00 pm there was nothing left to do. No bar, no entertainment - just retire to bed. So very boring - especially as there was also nothing nearby to explore.There was a swimming pool which was lovely and a bar that sold crisps /drinks etc. We asked for lunch but the only food on offer was a toasted cheese sandwich.It is mainly a hotel for young families as its on a farm and very safe for little ones to walk round. Plus there is a little playground.However, for couples - its a must to hire a car - so you can explore the little villages nearby.

  Amazing Property

  We spent two nights here in June, the property was beautiful and well cared for, there were horses (which my wife loved to visit each morning with her coffee) and a wide variety of trees along the walking paths. Best of all was the food . . . the breakfast and multiple course dinners were the best. The chef was amazing, the entire staff, and Marco in particular, went out of their way to make sure all our wants and needs were quickly taken care of. We look forward to returning for a longer stay next year.

  Fantastic place to find peace and relax. Enjoy delicious food from the own garden and farm on the terrace near the pool. Super breakfast. Very friendly personnel. Spacious and clean apartments. Kids loved the animals. Remarquable : the garden features an impressive collection of scented roses. Tenuta la Baronessa’s garden must be a paradise in May / June

  I spent 4 days in this amazing place with my 4 nephews 6,7 and 10 years old and with their parents, (my daughter and my son with their beloved). I booked a double room in the so called “Masseria” : a wonderful room, extremely cleaned, very big and wide, with a fantastic view on the swimming pool. I simply loved it! The place itself was absolutely a Paradise! You could only hear birds singing all day. The Tenuta la Baronessa is surrounded by a never ending park, with a vineyard, a rose garden, and a part dedicated to horses and cows where my nephews used to go every morning after playing in the nice play ground right next to the dining room. List, but absolutely not last , a huge and gorgeous swimming pool where to enjoy the sun and where my nephews had a wonderful time: we all enjoyed this place so much that we almost did not want to go and explore the surroundings and the seaside! ;-) The biggest thank you goes to the personnel , incredibly professional and extremely careful towards all details and towards all our needs.
