    A great base to relax and explore Puglia

    This hotel only has 80 or so rooms but is a big complex with beautiful historic features and a huge swimming pool. A large part of the facilities cater for conferences and weddings etc. (there was only one event in our week there and it did not affect our stay)The superior rooms were perfectly comfortable with good aircon, we had connecting rooms which we didn't know existed on booking but this was perfect for us and our teenager. Speaking of booking - you get the best rates contacting the hotel direct.The staff were lovely and helpful and spoke great English. Most guests were from the Netherlands or France. The pool bar was reasonably priced and the food of a reasonable standard for lunch. A special mention to Mauricio and Flavia at the pool bar, always welcoming and they made a great spritz!The pool area is huge, lots and lots of beds, plenty of shade and it was never busy, even in August. Breakfast was good, mainly sweet options (as is typical for Italy) but eggs and cold meats available plus freshly squeezed juices. There are complaints in the reviews about the coffee, the coffee from the machine in the breakfast room is awful agreed, but if you ask the really helpful breakfast staff they will make you a better one - a pod type coffee but still better than the machine. My main feedback for this hotel is to upgrade to bean to cup machines in the breakfast room - given how much Italians value their coffee it is surprising that the hotel have not already done so!We ate in the hotel in the evening on 2 occasions, the menu changes daily but there are limited options (3 per course). The price was reasonable and we really enjoyed the food. The wine list is good and has plenty of options at various price points. Service could be a little slow at times.There was a 'Puglian evening' each thursday. This is included for half board guests but was 45 euro each otherwise. The Magnolia Bar is supposed to be open 4pm to 11pm - we tried to get a drink on several occasions only to find it unstaffed which was a shame. This was a great hotel option in a great location 15 minutes from Mesagne - which has some great restaurants and bars) but you do need a car. A taxi to Mesagne would be 40 euros each way! One final bit of feedback is that the hotel website lacks detail. Sample menus for the pool bar and restaurant would be helpful.

    We enjoyed our stay here, it was the end of our holiday and all we wanted to do was lie by the pool and relax and this was a great place to do it.The hotel is very remote so you will need a car if you want to go to the local towns.The pool is amazing with a great bar. There is a great selection of food and drinks available to eat around the pool. Our room was lovely with a great outdoor area.The hotel restaurant had lovely food but the selection was very limited. The bar was really quiet with a big selection of drinks.

    Wonderful, relaxed haven

    My wife and I stayed for 4 nights in August with our 10 month old baby. We could not have been better treated by everyone in the hotel. From the moment we arrived to the time we left, we were made to feel welcome so we easily relaxed into our stay. We had a standard king room - the bed was huge and room easily big enough for the three of us and all the gear a new baby needs. The breakfast was great - good coffee, omelettes, cold meats and cheese, cereal, fruit and even the pastries were great (often a rare thing in hotels in my experience) We loved the bar by the "pool" perfect for an evening Aperol Spritz and ate twice in the restaurant. The restaurant is a great spot overlooking a gorgeous garden. We were in the area to visit family so only managed one day by the pool but it was a highlight of our trip. Again we were well looked after by the pool staff and were able to relax in the shade with our baby for ferragostoI'd highly recommend the hotel, it's spacious without being overwhelming. it's a beautiful spot and the staff are fantastic. The service is attentive and friendly without being overbearing. We can't wait to go back.

    Absolutely wonderful! Beautiful, clean, terrific service.The bar service and restaurant service is classy.The food at the restaurant was consistly good - chicken cutlets in lemon sauce, perfectly cooked steak over salad, French Fries (who knew), tiramisu on a delicious cookie, and excellent wine. Thank you for the experience.

    We spent time here just by chance. It turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. The facility was gorgeous…huge, green, beautifully maintained!! Our rooms were lovely with balconies looking out over the property. After long days of sightseeing it was wonderful to return to eat at their wonderful restaurant. David, and Mauritzio treated us like dear friends. Marta at the front couldn’t have been sweeterTenuta Moreno has it all….so glad we found it
