Can't tell anything bad about the hotel but the spa is to avoid. Massage was very poor quality and "spa boss" lady was arrogant and unpleasant.

My husband and I just spent 4 nights at the Grand Hotel and had a wonderful stay. I am a bit confused by some of the other reviews on this site. I have travelled extensively for business and pleasure staying at exceptional properties. The breakfast buffet was fantastic. The service we received at the hotel.and beach club was very thoughtfulI think people forget this is a hotel built in the early 1900 hundreds. It will show age . It is also located off a beach in Italy which means there may be noise at night if you leave your windows open..The hotel has charm, history and an amazing location.I loved my stay. ( only comment water bottles should be refreshed each day)

Customer service is poor. I asked for a blanket while in the restaurant, but was sent to the reception instead. I also asked to have breakfast served in my room, but was refused. I requested a late check-out, but they wouldn't even listen to me; I had to raise my voice just to make them understand that I only wanted to leave my luggage there. The hotel itself is perfect, and the cleanliness is excellent, but the service is not good.

Very disappointed. Rooms were completely different to the images. No soft furnishings, just looked like the rooms were very basic. I appreciate not every room can be photographed, but look at the difference with the room which is advertised. The soft furnishings are nothing to do with the age of the room. Certainly not a 5* experience. What was worse was the air con- extremely noisy and water marks on the ceiling which clearly hadn't been resolved. Couldn't stay here, had to move hotels.
