  I would probably give it like a 4.5/5. The rooms are great, they have a main room with a bathroom, big bed, and a sliding door that leads to a smaller room with a smaller bed. The view out the windows is just down the busy streets of Rome. At night it gets kind of hard to sleep because of the noise of the streets below. The elevators are hard to figure out at first as well, the doors won’t close and it won’t work if there is too much weight, once the doors close you can’t go to floors 2-4 without scanning your card to prove your staying at the hotel, I usually just take the stairs when I go down. You can’t take the stairs to go up because they are locked from the outside without a staff key. I guess the security is good because of this though. I had a sour apple mocktail on the rooftop. It wasn’t very good and tasted like grass. The cheesecake from the rooftop was very good though and so was the chips and salsa. Again, if I could I would rate this a 4.5 or 4.6 but it’s been great staying here and is very close to major attractions like the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, etc. Alain Claude Iovine, Servizi per gli ospiti/front office at 9Hotel Cesari, responded to this review Dear Guest,thank you for your detailed review!   This is a nice hotel to pick in down town Rome, had everything we needed. I liked that there was always someone on reception if you needed anything. The room was nice, quite minimal…wasnt much space to put anything like drawers etc, wardrobe was ok. Bed/pillows were comfy. The bed was made and towels changed everyday was nice. The view from our room was so lovely, very italian vibes! The buffet breakfast was so good, lots of choice! Weather wasnt great so could only sit outside on the rooftop terrace once but it was beautiful out there! The bar did great drinks too. All the staff were super friendly. The hotel was in walking distance of trevi fountain, pantheon and many other sites! Only gripe was the lift was really slow and temperamental, was alot of stairs up to the 4th floor otherwise! Great stay overall, would recommend.   Perfect location, great for families, friendly staff. 100% would recommend.

  Location is perfect! Most of the main attractions are within walking distance, but there are buses to everywhere just a minute's walk away - just jump on and tap your card, so easy. Staff were all so friendly and helpful. Hotel and room was lovely, spacious and clean, and the rooftop bar is a great addition, with a beautiful view of the church of St Ignatius. Breakfast was varied and delicious. Restaurants and shops all around, but not in a noisy/overly busy square. So glad we picked this hotel for our family stay in Rome, but would also revisit as a couple or solo! Would definitely stay again.   SEVERE SEWER ODOR IN ROOM: DIFFICULTY BREATHING DUE TO FOUL SMELL

  Kind staff but hotel room had a severe sewer odor. Family was gagging as soon as we entered the room and hotel worker who came to assess the situation tried to clean out the shower drain but could not alleviate the problem. Family could not sleep all night due to the disgusting suffocating odor. This was extremely disappointing and unsafe. STEER CLEAR. Hotel hygiene standards are not up to par.

  Rooftop Bar and Wonderful Views!

  We walked to the Trevi Fountain in the evening and had drinks at another restaurant. The Trevi area was really crowded, as always. We walked down the street to 9Hotel Cesari because of the rooftop bar and took a chance we could get a table for our group of 8. It was a weeknight and there were a lot of people there, but we got a table. It was a beautiful evening and the noisy atmosphere was so fun. We had drinks and dinner. The service and food were excellent and we had such a fun time. We ordered spritzes and some bottles of local wine and enjoyed the comfortable and friendly atmosphere. To get above the city in Rome is a treat. 9Hotel Cesari is a wonderful place.
