    Great Stay!

    rating09 Apr 2026

My husband, son, and I stayed here for five nights. They arranged a driver to pick us up from the airport, which was very helpful. Upon arrival we met with Paolo. He was very helpful and friendly. He showed us around and let us know what areas we could use and what would be provided for us. He also showed us on a map, all the important things in Rome and how to get there. He provided us his phone number in case we needed anything during the trip and helped us with recommendations for food during our trip also. The accommodations are a three bedroom apartment and you have one room to yourself with a private bathroom that has a shower. The room that we had was big enough for the three of us and also had a table and plenty of storage for clothing. Everything was clean and they switched out the towels daily. The kitchen is shared, however, there is plenty of space for all of your food. The kitchen is fully equipped for everything you need and the breakfast that was provided was great! There were a mix of different pastries and breads, milk, juices, coffee, and yogurts. Our room also had a beautiful view of the top of Saint Peter’s Basilica. The location was very central and close to everything. It’s just a few blocks from the subway station and the main bus stop that we used to get around town was just around the corner. There’s also plenty of restaurants and a 24 hour grocery store nearby. Paola recommended a great pizza place too! We would definitely stay here again!

Short stay is ok not for long stay

    rating20 Aug 2025

The location is very convenient, with easy access to the Vatican City and the metro. The directions provided by the host were straightforward and easy to follow. The facilities were decent, and the breakfast was what you would typically expect from a B&B.However, the main downside was that during our 5-day stay, the bed sheets and towels were never changed, despite being told they would be after 3 days. The only time someone entered the room was to switch off the air conditioning. What I also found disappointing was the way the owner responds to feedback. Instead of taking reviews constructively, the replies often come across as defensive and dismissive, which is not the right approach to improve guest experience.Well the overall if you are staying for a one or two days this would be ideal, anything longer then that not the best of the hygienic reasons.

Clean nice place with a friendly staff, very close to Vatican

    rating21 May 2024

The owner was very friendly, helpful and flexible. Thank you again! :)The balcony is supercute, we enjoyed sitting there every day.The room itself is nice. Very spacious for a couple, could be a bit challenging for four people. What was great was the level of cleanliness, and how often (and discreetly) our towels were changed.Basic daily breakfast supplies were a nice touch.Cons?Noisy climatisation from other room and absence of washingmashine... But I guess its usual to stay there for 2-3 days, not the whole week like we did :)

    Stay away from this B&B

    rating26 Sept 2023

I stayed in this B&B for 3 days, communication and check-in was ok. However, the air condition is a portable unit, it will not make the room cool. The worst is the bath room, it is dirty and hot water run out in 10 seconds every day. Complaint the hot water issue to Pablo who manage the property, he pretent suprise and promised to come and fix it, but never come back again. Just stay away from this B&B unless you want to have a cool water shower Fabio Paolucci, Altro at Arches B&B, responded to this review Hello Wang, this message leave really upset and I really hope you will stay away from our B&B. Unfortunately, this is what can happen when guests don't speak and understand English. We explained the guest that the water heater got broken and we wasn't able to change it on the same day, but just the day after. The bathrrom wasn't dirty at all and the towel holder wasn't broke before your arrfival: thank you fort this additional present.By the way, thank you for staying away from Arches in the future.Aòll the best, but away friom us.
