  Honestly, I am surprised this hotel had any good reviews. We checked into our room and were immediately nauseous from the strong smell of cleaning chemicals. So bad, first thing I did was open the window. The following morning it smelt like urine in the room. Like the room had pets in it before us, OR someone partied too hard in there before us. Next was the extremely uncomfortable bed. I'm talking boarder line sleeping on the floor hard. Lastly, the shower would completely flood in about 3-5 minutes, so you are standing in your own grimy soapy water. I contacted management, and they assured the problem would be fixed first thing the following morning. The owner of the hotel came to our room and argued with me saying that's normal, and I'm the first person to every complain. Horrible customer service with a bad attitude to match. Then she stormed out saying they would fix it when they could get a plumber. 3 days, later and multiple conversations with management the problem was still not fixed. They offered me a 20% refund on the remaining days (3 of 4) for the inconvenience. A week later, I contacted the hotel through WhatsApp (hotels only way of communicating with guests) and asked when I would see the refund. They explained they offered the refund to me only if I were to check out early. WHAT? Complete lie/deception, and shady. I strongly suggest you find another hotel, and not a 1 STAR.

  Convenient, comfortable in centre of Rome

  We had a lovely 3 nights at Arpinelli Relais. We were greeted by a very pleasant lady who gave us very good recomendations for local restaurants. We were approx 100mts from Trevi Fountain, very convenient to metro and walkable sights. Our room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. The bed was firm but suited us and we slept well considering how busy it was, Bank Holiday weekend!! There is access to a small kitchen area and use of a fridge on our floor. We would definitely stay here again when visiting Rome.   What a wonderful and beautiful hotel in a prime central Rome location! The hotel staff and owners were so kind and friendly and our 1 king bed room was so lovely with all the modern amenities!   So, it was literally the best accommodation we've ever had! The location couldn't be more central -2 mins away from Fontana di Trevi and also from bus stations. The cleanliness was 100% perfect, not even one default, and that is something we prioritize a lot as a family when we travel. I will not even talk about the style and decoration of the house that comes from another era and it is like a palace, as you can see it on the photos.The amenities more than needed, heat all over the room, so you didn't need any air-conditioning, and Zara, the receptionist was always kind and happy to help us with her welcoming and authentic smile.
