    Roma Capitol camping

    rating11 Oct 2025

Quite a few bad reviews need to be ignored. We had a good time there. The cabin was clean and tidy, shower was hot and always worked. Mosquitos are a problem but buy a repellent from the onsite store and burn them as described, then we had very few mosquitos. Toilets and and showers were always kept clean and tidy ( we were out of season ). The pools were good for the kids. The lifeguards turned the kiddy's play area on everytime our kids went there. The staff where all helpful and friendly, they all looked a bit fed up, but when you spoke with them they where all very civil. Our visit is really at the end of season. Easy access to Rome by train. Train station 1.5km walk from site. We would use this site again, if we're down by Rome again. Marketing Team, Marketing at Baia Holiday Roma Capitol, responded to this review Dear Philip, thank you for taking the time to share your opinion about our campsite. We are delighted that you enjoyed the facilities and services and that you had a wonderful holiday with us. It was a pleasure to have you as our guests and we look forward to welcoming you back for another unforgettable stay!

    Horrible camping

    rating10 Sept 2025

Not good at all! Dont go here!Swimming pool beds need to be paid for, even tho most of them are always empty.Food at the restaurant is overpriced and not tastefull at all, and the staff is very unmotivated.Lifegaurds spend more time on thier phone and talking to each other then whatching the geusts. Camping offers shuttlebusses but they only drive until 7 in the evening which is odd since all restaurant around only start serving food from 7 / 8 which is very normal for italy, so then u are forced to book a taxi for around 40 euros to get back to the camping which is already in the middle of nowhere. Excuse? They only have 1 driver.. which is wierd since we alrdy drove with 2 different drivers. So just a lie.On the website says they rent bikes, also on the map of the camping, when we wanted to rent them we were told they stopped that service a year ago.. Then update your map and your site right?! When we asked the first day if we could take the bus to somewhere we were told its very difficult and we were better off taking a taxi or the shuttle, only to find out the same evening the bus stop is 200 meters away.Cabin was dirty, dust and stains everwhere so we had to clean first before we could relax, after the fact that we paid for cleaning, which was not optional. Musqitous everywhere, u can not sit outside your cabin without bieing stung all over, maybe the camping cant help it sure, but since the other pool that is out of use in the low season is so green from the alges, maybe that dirty still water atracts all of them. Just a thougt. When is shared these complains by the reception, they almost couldnt help but laugh at me and all they could offer was a ( probably) unmeant "sorry"Camping is overall a very unwelcome place and absolutly not a place for a nice holiday.I hope everyone who reads this review makes a better choice then we did. Marketing Team, Marketing at Baia Holiday Roma Capitol, responded to this review Dear Guest,we are sorry that your experience did not meet expectations. Poor Service

    rating26 Aug 2025

Our stay was seriously let down by poor service and questionable practices. On our last day, the shuttle bus — which is advertised as running until 7pm — suddenly had a “mechanical failure,” leaving us stranded at Cristofer Columbo station. We had no choice but to pay €43 for a taxi and missed the Market that evening. Unsurprisingly, the shuttle was back in service the very next morning, which makes the excuse hard to believe. The restaurant only added to the disappointment. Not only are the prices inflated, but we were also charged for drinks we never ordered. When I challenged this, the staff were dismissive and rude. Even worse, the same four drinks were €16 one night and €20 the next. That kind of inconsistency suggests poor management and training or staff adding charges for their own benefit. The pool area was equally frustrating. Guests are expected to pay €5 per day for a sun lounger, yet the pool itself had cigarette ends floating in it. Lifeguards spent more time on their phones than watching the swimmers, and by the end of the day rules like wearing a swimming cap were no longer enforced — simply because staff couldn’t be bothered. For the prices charged, guests should expect honesty, professionalism, and basic cleanliness. Instead, we were left with a very negative impression. This place needs major improvements in management and staff training before it can justify its rates. Marketing Team, Marketing at Baia Holiday Roma Capitol, responded to this review Hello, we're sorry that your stay didn't fully meet your expectations. We take every feedback seriously. Rest assured that our goal is to provide our guests with a peaceful and positive vacation experience, and we will investigate the issues reported with our staff.

    Great campsite close to Rome

    rating14 Aug 2025

We have a UK 6.5m caravan and stayed on a pitch with electricity. The camp is really nice and only about 25% of the pitches were occupied which was great - the pitches are big and we had no neighbours. There are some trees and hedge plantings for shade. There is a good electricity supply that did not trip when our AC unit was on as it was 36 Celsius most of the time we were there. There are two pool areas (swimming caps required) and we had camped near the smaller one which was lovely and quiet. The water park was a bit noisy for us with lots of children. The camp shop was well stocked. We had a Pizza at the camp restaurant one night that was OK.All the toilets and shower blocks are new and super clean. The laundry was good with lots of machines for €5 a wash.I would have given this campsite five stars however,1. The camp is not cheap but we had no issue with the price until we were asked for €15 to use two sunbeds and an umbrella by the pool - not good2. Because the campsite was quite empty they had locked a lot of the shower/toilet combo units. They had shut too many and we had to wait several times to have a shower or go to the toilet.Because the one that were open were being heavily used they kept running out of toilet paper in the morning - not good3. There are no soap dispensers by the sinks in the toilet shower combo units - not good. This is a great campsite and we enjoyed our stay here.Hopefully they might address my comments and then it would be five stars. If my review was helpful could you press press helpful - thank you Marketing Team, Marketing at Baia Holiday Roma Capitol, responded to this review Dear Guest, thank you for sharing your experience and for the useful details. We are delighted that you enjoyed the pitches, the electricity supply, the swimming pools, the cleanliness of the toilets and the laundry facilities. With regard to the extra services, such as sun loungers and parasols by the pool, we would like to point out that we offer these services as an additional option, so that each guest can choose what they prefer to use.Regarding the toilets being closed during your stay, unfortunately, during periods of low occupancy, some areas are temporarily closed for maintenance and cleaning, but we take note of the difficulties you encountered. Finally, we will certainly take your suggestion regarding soap dispensers in the toilets into consideration, in order to further improve the comfort of our guests. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay and hope to offer you an even better experience in the future.

    Beware of extra costs.

    rating04 Aug 2025

Overall this site is ok but there are some real hidden costs you should consider. Accommodation- go for premium the outside space is great with a sofa all other lodges just come with basic outside table and half sun coverage and the heat was brutal. Also beware of the linen charges (more at the end)Site- pool is fantastic but a major flaw is paying for sunbeds and umbrellas. €15 for 2 bed 1 Brolley but no other coverage so they have you in a corner. They also have lifeguards that whistle constantly all day at people who don’t wear swim hats. That got tedious to say the least. Entertainment is 12-1400 fine then 16-1800 which is basically a guy throwing out songs with the most foul language I’m no shrinking violet but it’s an amazement how he’s allowed to. We left both days.Restaurant- expensive for what is it but ok.Site in general.- over run with big church groups well over 1000 when we stopped and super noisy. It’s also quite a distance from anywhere shop on site nothing compared to the one. Mile away. CAR ESSENTIAL.Add ons…. Family of 4Euro/tourist tax €100 pool beds €100euro pool hats €20 linen €100 so the accom price is not the real cost so be careful. Marketing Team, Marketing at Baia Holiday Roma Capitol, responded to this review Dear Paul, thank you for sharing your experience: your feedback is important to us and helps us to continuously improve our services. Regarding the presence of large groups at the campsite, we would like to inform you that the Youth Jubilee, an official event involving thousands of participants from all over the world, is taking place in Rome during these weeks. Some of these groups have chosen our Camping Village as their base for their stay, which is why the turnout has been particularly high. With regard to extra costs, such as linen or sun loungers by the pool, we would like to point out that these services are not included in the basic rates to allow guests to personalise their holiday according to their individual needs. Prices are seasonal and are always clearly indicated at the time of booking or can be consulted on our official website. We are sorry if some aspects did not fully meet your expectations and we hope to welcome you back, offering you a stay more in line with your preferences.
