  The furniture it is a little bit antique,but all over was ok.I enjoy the trip with mu husband,I loved the Vatican area,it is quiet ,clean and wonderful part that i fell in love with it.

  Extremely noisy hotel guests; school kid field trip, non-existent front desk.

  Because this hotel is so cheap, it attracts many individuals and groups that are on a budget, like schools hosting school trips. I was unlucky enough to get a room next to screaming kids playing tag at 2am in the morning in the hallways. I tried contacting front desk to complain. No reply. I walked down to see there's literally no one at the front desk. It's not surprising given that the hotel is run by elderly sisters who probably have better things to do. The lack of a proper staff team means that whatever happens at night, you're on your own! In my case it was noise and sleeplessness. Imagine if it was something worse, and there's no one to contact or call to. Yeah, no. Don't go with this "hotel" if you want a decent night's sleep and actually security. Trust me, saving €20 a night by going with this hotel is absolutely not worth it. €20 you saved will be wasted on paracetamol headache medicine anyway!

  Rude old nun ruined my last day

  I went for a walk and came back ten minutes before checkout. The nun working there more or less told me my stay had ended and I couldn't enter the room. Took me a while to explain I'm checking out at that time and just needed to get my luggage. She was very rude telling me to leave (pointing aggressively at the entrance) right after I gave her the key. Would not recommend if you don't know any Italian.The food was generous but subpar. I could easily make better pasta and meat than their kitchen. In a city with wonderful cheap food like Rome, it'd be much better to eat out.

  This hotel is absolutely excellent. I would recommend it anytime. Although it is located in the neighborhood slightly away from the historical center of the city, the hotel is just two blocks away from a metro station (from which you can reach all historical landmarks in about 20'). Breakfast is abundant and of good quality, made every day. The hotel is extremely clean, has heating and air-conditioning in all rooms, and hot water comes out abundant in the shower. Rooms are very big and count with everything you need (including wifi). Needless to say that both the nuns running the place and all the people working therein are extremely helpful, kind and friendly. I would definitely come back to this hotel.

  I stayed at Piccole Ancelle di Cristo Re twice recently and for me it was perfect.My preference was for a place which was a peaceful oasis in a busy city and everything was the way I like it - plain and honest - there was no glitz but everything you would need is there..Everyone I met was very friendly and helpful so that I felt at home. Whenever I needed a taxi , it was always ordered so that it came to the door. My flight on my first visit was delayed so I arrived a day late and they were so good to me about it. The Sisters are lovely and I would definitely stay there again.
