    Ideal for a short break excellent location clean and helpful staff..quad room was large but sofa bed was not so comfortable ..it’s nothing fancy but suited our needs as we were out most of the time.. would recommend to anyone looking for affordable accommodation

    Great hotel for Central Rome.Walking distance to major attractions.Only 42 rooms so staff were very attentive to make the stay.Great value too. Breakfast is good. Good choice and excellent value.If I'm in Rome again I wouldn't hesitate to book again.

    The Cecil combines everything that matters to us in a hotel: excellent service, cleanliness, quiet and comfortable room, charm, and great location. The staff are pleasant, professional, and friendly. The pricing is very reasonable for a well located hotel in an international capital. It is near both fine dining for example at Sistina 52 (a 4 minute walk) or a variety of nice typical casual Roman trattoria. The top of the Spanish Steps are a 5 minutes' walk, and maybe 8 minutes by foot takes you to the Trevi ("3 coins") fountain. A short taxi ride and you are in St. Peter's square. In between, you will find that many of the ancient and baroque treasures of the eternal city are in walking distance. The rooms are very well lit (can be a rarity in hotels with as much character and charm as The Cecil), and housekeeping is outstanding. The continental breakfast exceeded our expectations, and the "American coffee" was hearty enough even for us native New Orleanians. The wifi is very reliable, as is cell service thru your carrier's international plan (we used Verizon). We typically take two trips to Europe annually, and as seasoned travelers, recommend this hotel highly.

    The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean with comfortable beds. The breakfast was varied and nice. All in all a nice first experience in Roma.

    Beautiful hotel well situated only a few minutes walk from the metro , Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and probably hundreds of bars and restaurants. Our room was spotlessly clean ,well presented and had the most comfortable bed I've slept in . All the staff were so friendly, knowledgeable and always had a smile on their faces making you feel very welcome. Don't miss catching the sunset from the rooftop bar it's fantastic.
