    Awful - do not book!

    rating05 Mar 2026

DO NOT STAY HERE. This hotel is awful. We wanted to stay near the Appian Way, and booked one of the “best” rooms in the hotel. We arrived in our room to find peeling wallpaper, cigarette butts on the balcony, holes that had been patched but not painted. The electricity did not work. The walls behind the front desk are covered in stains, it’s in a sketchy part of town on a very busy street, and just outside the driveway there are big overflowing trash cans being sifted through by the homeless. We left and went to a nicer hotel - we did not come to Rome to stay in this miserable dump. When we asked for a refund the front desk clerk said no, we should have given them time to fix the problems (clearly impossible) and that he didn’t care if we left a bad review. The only good things I can say about this hotel are that it was reasonably close to the Appian Way and that the young woman who originally checked us in was pleasant. This place sucks. Trust me and book somewhere else!

Perfect for short stay great location

    rating05 Oct 2025

Warm friendly greeting on arrival gentleman was polite helpful. Room was clean and tidy unfortunately the shower well that was a experience for my husband as it was very small cubicle .shower curtain was tatty and there was mould around the cubicle that I’m sure with a good scrub would come off. ! There is meant to be a bar service but it’s not really maned waited a long time to get a drink which seem to annoy the female on reception. The hotel is perfect for short stay great location metro was easy to use lots of shops nearby too. Breakfast was pleasant and has a nice out side space too. Hotel is just a bit dated needs a bit of tlc but overall a lovely stay. It’s 3 star 🌟 good value and would recommend for short stay great location.

    Secure your belongings.

I booked this hotel as a surprise for my dad, when booking I selected a twin room. On arrival I was told there was no twin rooms available and that we would have to have a double. Not a massive issue, we realised once in the room that we could split the beds ourself, so that’s what we did. The next morning we left the room and went out for the full day, unfortunately my dad had his passport and wallet stolen so we were in a-bit of a panic on returning to the hotel (not the hotels fault) as of what to do about getting home etc. once in our room we made arrangements to pay for emergency travel documents and I paid for these, but when looking for my bank card I realised £60 had gone out of my purse that I left inside 2 bags in my room. I went to see a male on reception to explain that money had gone missing and a room attendant must of been in and taken it as the beds had been made etc and we’d been out all day, this money was £ not € so I know I hadn’t spent it as I’d been using my Apple Pay to pay for things. The male blamed it on myself and said it shouldn’t of been left in my room, I asked if he knew which room attendant had cleaned our room to which he replied no, he then said he would have the director of the hotel contact me the following morning. Nobody contacted me the next day so I went back to reception to be snapped at and told it was my own fault. The same night this same male was on reception again, we had gone into the bar area to order a couple of drinks as it was the last night of our stay and wanted to relax in the hotel. We was told the bar was closed and only soft drinks were available, I opened up the website to check the bar details as I was sure it said 24hr bar and it was only 8.30pm. The website stated 24hrs, I shown this to the male to which he replied “no I’m not a bar man and I’m not serving you drinks” he was so rude, I’ve paid to stay in a hotel as a surprise for my dads birthday, wasn’t rude in anyway even when I realised money had been stolen from my purse to be treated like dirt. When booking to stay somewhere you are also paying for a service and the service was poor, the hotel was very dated and had very little staff. After reading other reviews I’ve now realised it’s a common theme of people having money stolen. I wouldn’t return back to this hotel, and I don’t recommend anyone else booking here.

    My experience 2025

    rating12 May 2025

I do not recommend it. You will have a terrible experience staying at this hotel. First, I was robbed when I left money in my bag in the room. Second, the breakfast is horrible and every day is the same. Third, despite being close to the city center, the area where it is located is not very good. Despite the price, I recommend looking for another one!

    Tired Hotel

    rating18 Oct 2024

We stayed two nights the master bed one side was higher than the other and the small size the springs dug into you and impossible to sleep. I mention this to the reception man who did nothing about it. The very old shower is the smallest we came across in six weeks. If you weigh more than 100kgs you will not fit. The hotel furniture from the breakfast room the sitting area is all worn out with no support feels like you are falling through the chairs. It needs a complete makeover. It only got two stars because the breakfast was its saving grace. There are no bars or restaurants close by.
