Perfect for a couple of days stay!

    rating06 Mar 2026

Great location near the metro but not central so not overly busy. Clean and cosy rooms, inexpensive and delicious continental breakfast with fresh croissants! Unable to bring bags in at breakfast so had to go back up to the room before going out but not really a big deal. Perfect for a couple of days stay - if I was there any longer I probably would want a slightly bigger room but it was perfect for what we needed. Quiet and comfy beds, I slept really well!

    Lovely hotel

    rating22 Feb 2026

We always look for either family or small hotels for holidays and something with character. This hotel fitted the bill perfectly a lovely old building with lots of features. Staff were all friendly and polite and eager to help. Good free WiFi and lots of local restaurants which were competitively priced. Close to the metro station (5min walk) which gave you access to all the main tourist sites. Our only gripe and this may be age and being Brits, would have loved tea making facilities in the room but in fairness wasn’t advertised. As it is of the main road you get none of the noise from the many main roads around the area. So allowed for a peaceful nights sleep.

    Rubbish Hotel corona

    rating22 Feb 2026

The location of the corona hotel Rome was OK but that's about the best thingsI can say. We was greeted by a friendly enough receptionist but the whole process of checking in was arduous to say the least after a long travel day. All forms have to be completed by hand so do be prepared to enter all of the passport details etc. City tax can only be paid in cash. You have to pre order a quasant if you want one at breakfast and you have to select a time for breakfast, which is either early or earlier. The breakfast staff are rude and more interested in doing their own thing rather than making sure you are ok. The breakfast is limited buffet style , prunes , tinned fruit. Boiled cold eggs. Bog standard tea and coffee. Only one small lift to the upper floor of the hotel. We were told we had an upgrade due it being my husband birthday but the room was dismal and dinghy and no fridge or tea making facilities and nowhere to sit other than your bed. All chanel on the TV are Italian no English . The blankets on the bed look like something from WW2, the old prickly army blankets. The Room was cold and the bathroom basic. If you don't want luxury and want to rough it then this is the place to go. We had originally booked for 7 days but only after 2 dsys left and booked into the platinum Palace which was far better in every way. Oh yes and i nearly forgot to mention that you even have to pay for your security safe at 5 euros a day at the corona which isn't mentioned anywhere. Yes definitely the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. I know it's a budget hotel but I think calling it a budget hotel is stretching it.

    Rome weekend trip for

    rating09 Feb 2026

Great Hotel and location, 5min walk to Metro outside the Opera, 10 minute walk from Termini Station and 15-20 minute walk to most of the historic sites with great views and restaurants along the way. Room and hotel were extremely clean and fresh and comfortable bed. Hotel staff were lovely and helpful especially the gentleman Andre on Reception who made sure we knew where we were going. Breakfast for 5 euro was great too and set us up for the day! Perfect for weekend trip and would stay there again. Great value for money hotel. :-)

Basic but does what you need

    rating09 Feb 2026

Stayed in hotel corona for 4 nights. The hotel is situated down a tight street with a slight hill. Its very small. The staff when checking in didnt give directions to the room or restuarant. We were told our room number and sent on our way. The room was very small and basic but done us. The bed was made daily and fresh towels left but as for cleaning it didnt happen. The dust below the bed and bedside lockers was thick. The bathroom was never cleaned the whole time we stayed. As 2 females, we shed hair and it was always there showing the bathroom wasnt cleaned. The bed was hard but we managed. Breakfast, you have to give your order of croissant every night if you want one. The breakfast was basic but again done us. The hotel is situated near shops and restaurants but most attractions are approx 30min walk away. Staff didnt really speak to us when we were about the hotel.
