    Terrible Experience

    rating08 Oct 2025

I booked through Booking.com a comfort double room for October. I booked the room in March. A few of the facilities listed for that room are; balcony, fridge, television, wardrobe, fan, air conditioner, electronic key. I booked specifically for a balcony. The day of check in I received an email stating I had an upgrade of a room due to a technical issue with the shower in the room I had booked. On arrival I was supplied a room with none of the listed facilities listed for that room being there was no balcony, fridge, television, wardrobe, fan, air conditioner did not work, I was not given an electronic key and given no information regarding wifi etc. There were 2 keys given. 1 was for the main door for the entire building and that same key opened the main door also to Daphne's suites. The room apart from not having any of the listed facilities had one long cupboard with doors hanging off and inside the structure was coming apart and in need of repair. It most definitely was not an upgrade!! I ended up cancelling my booking and finding another place to stay. The room I was provided did not look anything like the pictures on any of the websites. In fairness, I did not get an opportunity to view any other rooms as there was no staff member on site even though I was told I someone would be present from 10.30am - 3pm. When I attempted 3 times to enter the building with the keys given to me, I was unable to access the apartments main area and another guest had to open the door for me to be able to leave the keys on the unattended front desk. After reading several reviews of how management continually over book and cancel bookings at the last moment, I would be hesitant book!

    NOT like the pictures !

    rating29 Jun 2024

Very basic room, was not like the pictures and parts of the bathroom was falling apart/ drainage smell in bathroom. I am very well travelled so was disappointed but equally it is very reasonably priced compared to other Rome hotels. One of the biggest disappointments is breakfast. By the pictures you see pictures of breakfast area. When we got there we received breakfast vouchers for a local cafe. They only allowed a tea or coffee or crossiant. One day I asked for a water or a hot chocolate instead of coffee as I don’t drink coffee and they said know which I couldn’t understand. They was not very friendly in the cafe either. If you’re looking for an affordable stay in Rome the location is incredible and the staff member who I spoke to over booking.com was always very helpful but please ignore the online pictures and this is not what the accommodation looked like.

    Great location, absolutely not ‘Luxury’

    rating06 May 2023

We booked the room through booking.com and we’re shown complexity different photos of the room to what we actually got! The room was much smaller than advertised and the decor was completely different so we were very disappointed. The bathroom was tiny with a very small shower cubicle that was difficult to get in and out of. The cubicle doors didn’t close properly so the floor around the shower was soaked after a shower. The WiFi didn’t work in the bedroom, when we spoke to reception we were told “well it works for me”. The safe didn’t work so we carried our passports with us the whole trip. the balcony was tiny and looked over residents balcony, we didn’t use it. The building didn’t seem that secure, you couldn’t lock your room from the inside which for two female travellers made us feel unsafe. You could hear every apartment around you which was very noisy and every-time someone came in to the building it sounded like they were trying to enter our room. We did not sleep well. TV also didn’t work. The only positives for the place was the location, which was very good with a short walk to the Trevi fountain and the sheets and towels were clean. If that hadn’t have been the case we would have tried to find somewhere else to stay. Do not stay here if you are expecting luxury!!

    Don’t do it!!! It’s a scam!!

    rating30 Dec 2022

This place is a scam. We had a reservation and after finding the place in an alley, no one was available. After the cleaning lady let us in and got us in contact with the owner, they had already canceled my reservation.

    1,5 star place

    rating21 May 2022

Complete disappointment, avoid this! We visited 18-20.5.22. At first; The elevator could accommodate 1 person and a suitcase, the smallest elevator in my life with a claustrophobic feel. The receptionist / cleaner / breakfast bringer did not speak English but the communication was done with a Google translator. The room was 11 m2 (we booked a 20 m2 room) shower / WC with two soap bars. There was no breakfast room but coffee / tea and toast with marmalade and a glass of juice was brought into the room if it was eaten while standing because there were no chairs in the room? Wi-Fi worked occasionally like a gsm network. The TV was not connected to the antenna network. We have traveled and stayed in Italy in 3 and 4 star hotels, B&B dozens of times. I haven’t come across such a big ‘mine’ yet, for the first time.
