  I visited this Hotel in December. And it was really appreciated that Mr. Gabriel accepted me for a late arrival into it. Around 09:00PM crossed and he explained me about the entry which was out of box. I really appreciate his Customer Service. Also Mr. Patricio who was there during my check-out was great in explaining me how to get to FCO Airport. I really liked my stay in Domus Getsemani hotel which was one night. And also appreciate the breakfast they provided. Thank you guys for an amazing stay over here.

  A Shocker!

  First chance to give a review after our extensive travel:We weren't expecting a 5-star accommodation like the Ritz-Carlton for what we paid. The location was good, being close to The Vatican, Cipro & Ottaviano metro stations and a number of restaurants and shops in the tourist area.We were received upon our arrival and the guy was okay. Note the reception isn't manned 24 hours.The room was okay, the bed was okay and the air-conditioning worked.But that's as far as it goes.The room was never attended to for cleaning during our 3-night stay.We requested to take breakfast early at 7:00am as we were attending the Papal audience that morning. A guy showed up at 7:30am and he couldn't keep his opinions to himself, muttering away for minutes on end in Italian (his tone was negative) before he headed off elsewhere :-(On the morning of us checking out, there was a leak from the toilet which started to leak into the main room (ew!) which made us leave the room quickly.If that wasn't bad enough, it was just after 7:30am, we waited for breakfast and a guy went to kick the main entry door in repeatedly, yelling "Open the door!" quite loudly. After explaining to him that the door is lock and it cannot be unlocked, he continued on his rampage. I was expecting that the door would be kicked off its hinges and straight onto me which would have caused injury. He then yelled for the rear glass doors to be opened, which we did. When he entered the breakfast area, his behaviour continued and we went to get our luggage to leave the god-forsaken place without taking our breakfast.We discussed his behaviour and he gave his reasons, which were the traffic conditions. He continued to apologise, explaining that he wasn't angry with us.Why on earth behave like that in front of paying guests???!!! There's no excuse for that!We reluctantly took a quick breakfast and he called a taxi for us. I explained the situation of the room with the leaking toilet and the water leaking onto the main room, and that the towels were placed on the water to make it safe for someone to enter to attend to it.Unfortunately, the emotional and psychological damage was done, the atmosphere was so uncomfortable and we left as quickly as we could.A suggestion: better give this place a BIG miss and find accommodation in the area at more expensive rates.

  Poor and unprofessional customer service. If you would like to receive professional, helpful, and friendly customer service, then this establishment cannot and will not provide this to you. You will find that their "reception" or "check-in hours" are basically not adhered to. They keep changing their own policies on the spot when questioned, and generally do not like providing any explanation to any issue being discussed. Avoid if you can.

  The hotel is situated in front of the Vatican Museum and is well connected by public transport to all other tourist attractions. The metro station is just a short walk away making it easier to navigate the city. The staff are super friendly and always around to help out and give information on whatever you need including information on monuments and directions as well as recommendations on where to eat. Breakfast is included and offers fresh pastries as well as other options. The terrace has a cute seating area with a wonderful view of the city which can also be seen from some of the rooms facing that side of the building. The hotel was clean and also surprisingly provided parking which is very important if you are bringing your car to Rome as parking in general, can otherwise be difficult. All in all the stay was very pleasant and the hotel and staff had a cozy and friendly vibe. I would definetley recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in Rome.

  Perfect home from home for our budget

  We stayed at Domus Getsemani for 20 nights. We wanted accommodation which met our shoestring budget, was safe, secure and with our own bathroom. Domus Getsemani tucked all the boxes! We don't have "champagne tastes on a beer budget" and we were not looking for fancy as we don't have a fancy budget, we're not paying fancy prices and nor do we have ridiculous expectations. We were comfortable, warm, enjoyed the location which was in easy walking distances of the metro and buses, a busy area nearby with great eating places. Gabriel and Pattrizio are friendly, very helpful and accommodating and we enjoyed our time there immensely.
