Location

A small architectural jewel in the heart of Rome, this hotel complex is a former 17th century convent, originally designed by Francesco Borromini (1599-1667). A corner of tranquillity in the heart of the Trastevere district, the hotel lies at the foot of the Gianicolo hill, in Via Garibaldi 27. There are numerous restaurants, bars and clubs within walking distance of the hotel. Shopping opportunities and a tourist office are roughly a 20-minute walk away. Leonardo da Vinci International Airport is about 20 km from the hotel.

Facility

78 non-smoking rooms are located on 3 storeys and can be reached by lift. The reception desk is open round the clock. Amenities available at the hotel include a baggage storage service, a safe and a cash machine. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas.     Everything about DCS was amazing. The location was perfect. Just a block down from DCS are streets full of shopping , eateries, quaint streets and fabulous people. The stay was great. Staff extremely helping and kind. Make sure you grab a drink and enjoy the snacks that come with every sit down. We took our drinks to the rooftop and gazed into the amazing views. The breakfast was amazing with options for sweet and savory. Outside dining was lovely with a blanket offered if a chill in the air. The building it self is very unique and offers mass on Saturdays and Sundays. Rooms perfect as well!     An unbelievable place! Full of history and beauty. The courtyard garden is peaceful and lovely to sit out and have breakfast, lunch or a cocktail. The staff are very gracious and extremely helpful. Edoardo the Concierge was incredible! He assisted in a personal delivery and went above and beyond helping to ensure it was received. The rooftop terrace has amazing views of Rome. It does not have a bar and/or service but the staff will be very happy to bring you up something. The location is perfect - you can walk to all historic sites. Simply an amazing place! Highly recommend.     I spent a most wonderful four nights at Donna Camilla Savelli! I almost stayed somewhere else and I’m so glad that I changed my plans. The hotel is very special. My lovely room was in the former convent facing the courtyard. The hotel is located in a quiet pocket of Trastevere within easy walking distance of the bustling areas. The casual restaurant offers a simple but interesting menu for when I didn’t want to dine out during off hours. The entire hotel staff were professional, warm and welcoming. This is the perfect home base for all of Rome. What’s not within walking distance is a short taxi ride away.     Lovely place, lovely people. The service could not have been better. The room had been recently restored and it made for a comfortable stay. We will miss the attentive servers who greeted us every morning for the delicious breakfast buffet.
