WARNING! DO NOT STAY I N ROOM 303!!

    rating24 Apr 2026

I was shown to a room that was so tiny and badly appointed, that I thought there must have been a mistake. At the from desk, a rather rude manager pulled out my booking and pointed to where it said “economy” booking. That room is a disgrace, economy or not. It is an insult to anyone’s intelligence. A tiny ugly cell A single - comfortable - bed, with no room on either side to walk, other then shuffle sideways. Nowhere to sit. Nowhere to write. Nowhere to put ones suitcase. My experience was NOT in a 4 star hotel. By rights I should be compensated. There was no description of this room in the information. Shame on you!

Very Disappointing Customer Service – Cancelled My Stay

    rating12 Apr 2026

I was initially supposed to stay at this hotel, but thank God I didn’t. The receptionist/front desk, Scion was extremely rude and unhelpful, so I decided to cancel our booking. It would’ve made for a completely awful trip if you’re not going to be properly assisted and be welcomed by someone who doesn't event know what hospitality is

Lovely hotel on a busy little street.

    rating12 Apr 2026

The hotel is in a great location and definitely had a warm welcome when we checked in. The beds are comfy and the rooms are cleaned everyday, (even on the day before check out!). The only CON I have staying here is the noise levels at night. We were in a family room in the building next to reception and so it was quite loud with all the shouting and singing going on outside late at night, as you are on a pretty busy little street. Also we were unfortunate to have a noisy guest staying in the same building at the same time, so not only was it noisy outside, but we were being woken up by a loud guest on his way back to his room pretty much every night...

Lovely hotel in an excellent location

    rating04 Apr 2026

Just returned from our first trip to Rome. Stayed at the Hotel Duca D’Alba with my teenage daughter. The hotel is in an excellent location. Lovely little side street, with plenty of places to eat. An amazing gelato shop just next door, and only 5 mins from the Colosseum. We could walk to all the other main sights easily - 20 mins to the Trevi Fountain, for example. We had a twin room on the top floor (4th floor) which was small, but had everything we needed. The bathroom was really nice, with a double shower, and we had a small balcony which I wasn’t expecting. Rooms were very quiet. All staff on the front desk were really friendly and helpful (with the exception of the one lady who checked us out on our last day - she was quite rude and abrupt - but in complete contrast to everyone else). Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again, and would highly recommend.
