    BEWARE building work next door will drive you nuts

    Our whole stay was spoiled by building work being completed at the cinema next to the hotel. On our first morning we were abruptly woken at 7.30am by drilling and hammering that vibrated right through the room. We then faced 2 power cuts whilst getting ready and had to sit in the dark for 10 mins as we didn't want to open the curtains as there were workmen looking in which made us feel very uncomfortable. I complained at reception but was told that the hotel was at full occupancy and they could move us but not until 12 noon. This was not an option as we had booked a tour for this time so we couldn't wait around the hotel all day. We came to Rome to see the sights, not to sit and wait in the hotel for another room. When we returned later that evening we were told by reception that they had spoken to the builders and that they wouldn't start any building work until 9am and if they did start earlier the manager would get the police involved. So we went to bed hoping we could get a lie in.However at 7.45 am the next morning it started again. I rang the receptionist who said they would sort it but the banging never stopped. We got dressed and got out of the room as the constant banging was unbearable. Once again I went to reception to be offered a room for the last night but we were checking out at 6.30am the next day and our stay had already been spoiled. I asked for some financial compensation but they wouldn't give us any money back as they had offered us a different room even though we couldn't move at the time that suited them.

    Lovely hotel in a nice area of Rome. Although not so close to many of the iconic sites, it is near the Villa Borghese, and the immediate neighborhood has plenty of shops, farmacias, and restaurants. The friendly and helpful staff is the best!

    Great location. Not in tourist area but super convenient to everything by walking. For the price this is a great value. Rooms and bathrooms are large by EU standards. Very nice staff from first arriving to check in, breakfast, room service, and checking out. We’ve been lucky to not have bad experience with hotel staff anywhere in Italy just this staff was far above in their attitude and abilities.

    Watch out no air conditioning!!!!!

    On approach to hotel seems hide in the back streets. Enter the reception and the staff were super friendly and helpful with a typical Italian design reception.The room was a good size on the second floor.comfy bed and great shower. Only issue which was a big one for us is the lack of air-conditioning. It has been around 22 degrees in rome and the room was extremely hot!!! We tried a.c but didnt work. Asked the reception multiple times over multiple days to fix but they did nothing and told to open the windows( we did this but it was so loud outside we could not sleep)They gave us a tiny desk fan but honestly didnt do much. It has been a long few days here with no sleep for sweating. This has really let down the stay here
