    Bad experience

Worst hotel we have stayed in so far. Rooms are extremely small, this hotel has not been refurbished since its opening. Breakfast is very moderate. Terrible and extremely disappointing service!Would not recommend at all.

    Timeless Old World Charm

    rating01 May 2026

When I was looking for a classic, traditional hotel to stay in Rome Hotel Forum seemed to tick all the boxes. It has a lovely, timeless old worldly charm and feeling of continuity. I hate modern corporate hotels and this place is the exact opposite and all the better for it. Our room was small, as is normal for Rome, but very comfortable and stylish. We had a corner room with a large window looking right over the Forum. It had a good shower and despite being so central it was fairly quiet and I slept well. It was wonderful having breakfast in the Roof Garden Restaurant in the morning looking over the great views of the Forum, Colosseum and Rome skyline. If you would like to stay in a place that could have come out of 1950's Hollywood film this is it and I mean that In the best possible way!

    Hotel Forum Review

Excellent location. 15 minute walk to Colosseum, Forum, myriad of history and authentic Italian food. Staff super friendly. Breakfast opens at 0700. Great variety and a view that is breathtaking of the forum and upper portion of the Colosseum. Bar is above the restaurant with equal views. Bar is nice but count on 20 euros a drink. I would stay again in a heartbeat due to location, location, location.

    Location is key

    rating23 Mar 2026

We went to Rome for 4 nights and chose the Hotel Forum due to its location close to all the sites we wanted to see. As expected the location is perfect you are close to everything but a sones throw from the Colleseum and and the roof top bar and resturant actually overlooks the Forum. We were on a bed and breakfast basis although we only made Breakfast twice as days start early in Rome to beat the crowds, that said the breakfast was good although the coffee was in my opinion disappointing. We were in a Suite and this was huge with a big bathroom with a bath and shower and a nice sitting room area, we were on the 4th floor and there was no street noise as the hotel is on a quiet roa, there was however, some noice in the morning with chairs being scrapped on the floors in the restaurant. The hotel has a lovely rooftop bar and we wnet there a couple of times for a drink, I felt the prices of drinks were way too expensive and we live in London, yes you are overlooking the Forum but 20 euros for a cocktail or Aperol Spritz was excessive, 14 euros for a beer and a Jameson Black barrel was 26 euros surely this is self defeating and if it was cheaper more of the guests would visit the bar, we also only discovered on our last night that Hotel residents get a small discoint, this isnt mentioned on the drinks menu and no one asked us if we were residents. We didnt eat in the restaurant in the evening although again this looked pricey and there are lots of great restaurants within a 5 minute walkOverall for the location and the quality of the rooms I would recommend this Hotel but be prepared for the bar prices.

    Perfect Stay

    rating20 Mar 2026

A truly wonderful stay in the heart of Rome!Hotel Forum offers an unbeatable location right on the Imperial Forums, just steps away from all the main historical landmarks. Being able to walk to the Colosseum and other iconic sites within minutes made our experience incredibly special. The hotel is impeccably clean, and every space is maintained with great attention to detail. The staff are exceptionally kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile, making you feel genuinely cared for throughout your stay. One of the highlights is the stunning panoramic restaurant, where you can enjoy delicious meals with breathtaking views over the city — an unforgettable experience, especially at sunset. The décor is elegant yet warm, with a classic style that makes you feel right at home from the moment you arrive.Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience Rome with comfort, charm, and a perfect location!
