    Please DON'T stay here

    rating11 Feb 2025

My trip to Rome was amazing, but this hotel is genuinely horrible so I feel compelled to write this.If you want something brief, check the first sentence out of each point below:The positives ✅:- TRANQUILITY. It's pretty calm at night, the most you'll hear is airplanes flying and a few people on the street. The negatives ⛔:- HORRIBLE COSTUMER SERVICE. One of the receptionists is extremely rude. When we first came in, there was a problem in our reservation and we were having issues solving it since we booked it with a travel agency, and, even though it's comprehensible to be stressed about that, the receptionist conducted himself in a completely inappropriate way. Not only did he refused to cooperate with us, he kept insisting that we had to pay an additional tax to the one we already had payed previously without explaining it clearly, just insisting on payment (he also seemed to change how much the tax costed during the conversation or at least it really sounded like it ? Saying it was about ~€40 per night because of the age of the guests just to change it to one ~€40 payment saying it was actually the tourist tax at the end ?), then he started yelling repeatedly and saying that "that's your problem, not mine", and only calmed down when we gave up and said we were going to another hotel, changing his ways completely.- CLEANESS. The room had mold in the wall (image annexed to this post), leaks in the shower and, in out first day sleeping there, when we opened a folded blanket there were rests of food of a previous guest lying there (we never opened that before and never ate in the room, so no, it wasn't ours, that image is also annexed to this post), so we had to request another blanket.- LOCATION. This is kind of relative, but if you are planning to stay most of the time on Rome's center (where most of the tourist attractions are) you may have to walk a lot or at least spend some good money on transportation. You can walk to the center, but depending on the time of your stay it becames unfeasible to do that every day. At least there is a bus stop and a metro line near there.- FALSE ADVERTISING. So, we came to the hotel knowing it didn't offer this things, but for some reason in a lot of sites (including tripadvisor) this place is listed saying it offers things like free breakfast so be aware it doesn't. There are good places to get breakfast near there, but of course it comes with a price. Some of this aspects are relative and can be experienced in different ways by different people, but still, if you want an advice: DON'T STAY IN THIS HOTEL. It's NOT hard to find other places to stay in the same price tag and in a better location and/or somewhere that offers more confort. The fact that this place so proudly presents this 3 starts makes me astonished because I have no idea how it got even one in the first place.

    AVOID AT ALL COSTS

    rating15 Oct 2023

I usually can't be bothered with reviews and tried to be very tolerant with small issues but my stay at this Hotel was so terrible that I felt the obligation of warning people that might be planning to stay here. One of reasons I had booked this hotel was because we were coming in September which is usually a very hot month in Rome so we needed a room with aircon. Arriving at the Hotel they already charged us the full stay upon check in but didn't warn us about any possible issues. Once we got to the room to my surprise the Aircon wasn't working, there was only a little fan that did very little to help cooling off the room. Realizing the problem I went back to the front desk and this middle-aged man very nonchalantly told me that they were working to fix the issue but that anyways we had a fan. I wasn't happy with the answer but since he said they were trying to solve the issue I decided to wait and see if the next day things were fixed. The room was so hot we could barely sleep the whole night. On the second day there was no improvement and also no updates from the hotel management. Again we struggled to sleep and feeling very tired and frustrated I reported the issue to booking, they spoke to the hotel and someone from their staff told them that they were very sorry but they would not be able to fix it during my stay but they would have no issues in compensating me for the lack of a room with working aircon I had paid for. So everything seemed fine we went sightseeing and once we came back I was called by the same middle-aged man who told me in a very disrespectful tone that they would not give a dime for the lack of Aircon, that I should have told them on the first day that wasn't happy with the lack of Aircon, I told him that was exactly what I did and that was himself who told me that they were working in the issue but nothing was done. He started laughing in my face and dismissed me telling me to take my complaint to booking that they were not going to do anything about it. I asked to speak to a superior he said there was no one, I then asked for his name he kept laughing at me and refused to identify himself I then lost my temper with his lack of respect and demanded to speak to someone else. An Asian lady who I believe to be in charge upon hearing the altercation finally came to talk. I told her how This guy was behaving towards us guests and their lack of respect towards paying customers, she apologized and offered me either a change of room (for this last night to a room with a portable Aircon) and to reimburse me the city tax (23 euros) what was a ridiculous amount considering what I had paid for the room or give 40 euros as compensation for the issue. I told her both options after all the terrible service were far from ideal since they had managed to make our stay miserable. She said that was all they could do. I of course chose the first option so we could at least try to have a decent night of sleep on our last night. In a nutshell I would never come back here or recommend this hotel to anyone, these people only care about your money, they have zero customer service orientation and have no regard about you and your experience. So if you ever have any issues you can be sure they won't help you and they won't reimburse you for anything they have sold you and didn't provide, but they will be happy to charge you for anything, in fact they will do holdings in your card at least on 2 or 3 occasions several days before your arrival to make sure you have money to pay them. So don't come to a place where they have no respect for guests

Hotel Geo - Inexpensive and Clean

    rating11 Sept 2016

We stayed two nights recently on a recommendation of a friend. We did not return for a second stay. Our room was very small for two adults with very small low twin beds that were very firm. The bathroom was very small but clean - not enough towels available. The elevator was not working but a kind employee offered to carry our bags to the second floor. There is a breakfast included in the modest cost of the room and snack machines in the lobby.Although the Geo is located near public transportation, it is quite far from downtown Rome. Allow plenty of time to get to attractionsThere are some excellent restaurants within walking distance. If you are looking for an inexpensive, clean place to stay and don't mind using public transit, consider the Geo. it is a bargain. If you like soft beds, a convenient location and other amenities, keep looking.

The hotel room was nice, clean and comfortable, with private bathroom. The owner was very helpful and friendly. Good western breakfast. Two minutes walk to the local transit (Trolley #5 / #14) to Termini.

    Good hotel for reasonable price

    rating10 Jul 2015

We spent in this hotel 3 night during our Rome visit. They are having only one floor with room. The rooms are airconditioned. Room was clean and quiet. In the room price is breakfast included. The breakfast its an easy one, dont expect big buffet. I was a bit disappointet about the breakfast. They have also complementary WiFi in the whole hotel. Connection was quite good. The location isnt bad, ca. 15min. by tram from Termini. I would say, for the price it was a reasonable hotel. Nothing special but not bad.
