    Lovely stay!

    rating17 May 2026

What a great hotel this is. Staff very warm and accommodating at reception and only too pleased to help (Martina was always very friendly) and our man in the evening was very funny and charming(unfortunatelydidn't catch his name). Rooms have high ceilings which really makes the room feel grand and spacious. Everything you need from a room for a city break. Shampoo, shower gel and vanity kids supplied and fresh towels daily. Breakfast was very good and very fresh every day. A choice of cereals, cold meats, fruit, Yoghurts, scrambled egg and frankfurters. As well as breads and cakes. Hotel is 20/25 minutes walk from colessum and Trevi fountain. Don't let negative reviews put you off staying here. Surrounding 100m from the hotel isn't the nicest looking, but is kind of what you expect from anywhere so close to a major train station, we always felt very safe. The station is a 1 minute walk and is idle to get the train to the airport on the Leonardo Express (€14 each way). I would highly recommend the hotel and would definitely choose to come back.

    Great overnight option!

    rating26 Apr 2026

Great hotel for a quick stop after getting of the train at Termini. It's literally across the street. Are there vendors everywhere? YES Are there sketchy looking people in the street? YES But these people are not interested in you. Just keep to yourself and go about your business like someone with common sense. The concierge, Leonardo, was FANTASTIC. Extremely funny and kind, made us feel very welcome and was incredibly helpful in every way. The hallway did have an overly strong room spray smell and the room was a tad stuffy so we immediately opened the huge window and let the breeze in. VERY confu beds with extra pillows, very clean and modern bathroom, the breakfast buffet on the roof was EXCELLENT. We left our luggage downstairs in a locked room with the hotel staff and the morning concierge called us a taxi to the airport. The city tax was 15 euro paid in cash at check-out. All in all this is a great option if you're getting off a train and need a night's stay before heading to the airport. Highly recommend!

    cold showers

    rating23 Feb 2026

The hotel is close to the train station and metro which is good. The hotel is close to the train station which is bad because of the nose level at night. Noise level is a problem for some of the guest. The rooms are clean, modern and confortable. The staff provide a very good service. The hotel does not have a computer and printer available for gues to print their bording passes. The hotel lost hot water for almost a whole day. I understand that this happens often. On the whole, the hotels has good value compaired to the cost. I would geve it a better rating if there was not a problem with the hot water. I do not like cold showers.

    DO NOT STAY HERE!

    rating13 Jan 2026

Gioberti is THE WORST "hotel" I have ever stayed in and I travel a lot. I put the word hotel in quotations because this place isn't worthy enough to be called that. First of all, it's in the worst neighborhood in Rome. My cousin went out to smoke once and she had shady people approaching her at the door of the place. Now let's talk about the staff. Marco is apparently the manager, he is also at the front desk. Not only is he extremely rude, but he will also call you a liar to your face. From the moment we stepped in, we had the "do not disturb" sign on our door. New Years Eve we went out, when we came back, someone had entered our room to get the broken, dirty iron we requested. When I told Marco about this, he said "impossible. Didn't happen." I told him to bring up the cameras so we can see the footage, and he said he will look at it later, but doesn't matter because no one went in to the room. Finally, let's talk about the room. Dirty isn't the word. It is unsanitary and unsafe. There is hair everywhere, the door panels have cracks in it, the toilet seat is yellow. There is mold and rust everywhere (when I told Marco about the toilet seat, his answer was "it's clean, just old. it's what we have"). We used our lysol wipes to wipe it down and we put paper down before sitting on the toilet. The shower head is broken and it leaks. The broken iron (apparently there is only one, because they went in to our room illegally while we were gone to take it back) burned my top and put a whole in it. Even with the low setting. The iron had black stuff all at the bottom. We ended up leaving the very next morning and went to another hotel, even though we had a reservation for two days. Thank God for Expedia, they got us out of there. I am now trying to get my money back on the night we were there because of the disgusting conditions of the place, and because once we got back that night and saw someone entered our room, we felt extremely unsafe. Unfortunately, we couldn't get a place on New Years Eve and had to wait until the next morning. The only good thing I can say is about Lorenzo, who works there and was very sweet to us and understanding. Thank you Lorenzo. That place doesn't deserve you. DO NOT STAY AT "HOTEL" GIOBERTI! There are so many nice places in Rome for the same money.
