This hotel is situated in the exclusive residential area of Balduina, just 10 min from the Vatican museum and St. Peter's cathedral. In addition, many of the city's top tourist sights including the Piazza di Spagna, the Colosseum, the Villa Borghese and the Fori Imperiali are to be found in the vicinity.

Facility

4 junior suites, a suite, 11 single rooms and 74 double rooms are located on 7 storeys and can be reached by 2 lifts. The reception desk is open round the clock. A baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and drinks machine are available. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Additional amenities include a newspaper stand and a TV room. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (for a fee) or in the car park. Other services include medical assistance, room service (for a fee), a laundry service and a hotel shuttle bus. A business centre with fax machine and projector is available. 3 conference rooms are available for lectures, presentations and meetings.

Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and central heating. All rooms are carpeted and include a double bed, a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. The hotel has family rooms and 90 non-smoking rooms.

    Big windows that open to let the fresh breeze in. Loved that, American hotels don’t have that anymore.

    My room was clean, fresh, with huge windows I could open and fill the entire room with a fresh breeze. Beds were firm and surprisingly comfortable, pillows were perfect for sleeping. Staff was polite to friendly, onsite restaurant was fresh and had decent food for honest prices. My only two issues were location (not close to any attractions in Rome- which meant a long walk down the hill/mountain to reach the metro- which meant an even longer walk up the hill/mountain! And very few restaurants to experience close by. The other issue was our room had questionable plumbing in the bathroom. (That was a little awkward, but we didn’t make a big deal over it. It was what it was)

    Overall a nice hotel, modern clean and friendly helpful staff. Rooms were smart and well decorated with comfortable beds. A couple of negatives- the rooms were not soundproof enough, you could hear the neighbours taking showers and talking, and anyone in the corridors also.Location- on the map not too far from the Vatican but no metro nearby, closest one 20 minutes walk away. There is a train station 2 minutes away but it’s just a train station so you have to buy a train ticket and then travel a few stops to the metro and buy a metro ticket. We were only there for 3 days but we ended up taking too many Ubers and taxis to and from the centre at €20 a time.

    The hotel is a 10-15 minutes walk up a steady hill from Cipro metro station. We were warmly welcomed in to the hotel. The exterior is neat and tidy with a lovely garden and spacious car park. We didn’t bring a car but noticed there were always spaces available. I booked two rooms (a double and a quadruple) and both rooms were ready when we arrived about 3pm. We were pleased to have water and hot drink making facilities after the long journey from London. The rooms were clean and had a small seating area which is much nicer than sitting on the beds. The rooms were overlooked by flats but I didn’t see anybody and kept the net curtains closed anyway. Breakfast offered a good selection of pastries, hot savoury food, fruit, yogurt and toast. There is a self service machine for coffees and fruit juices. We did not have lunch or dinner at the hotel but had a few glasses of wine in the evenings which were fairly priced. We also made use of the pool table! The rooms were cleaned and beds made every day by the hotel maids. When it came to check out, we paid the tourist tax and made use of the handy luggage scales in the lobby (€1 per bag). I would definitely stay here again. It was a great base and there were some excellent restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. We walked to the Vatican which took us about 20 minutes. We took a route that involved walking up a steep set of steps. There is a flat route that takes a bit longer for those who are unable to climb steps. The metro is very handy for zipping around Rome, is regular, reliable and cheap! An excellent experience.

    Very comfortable rooms and super clean. The staff are most helpful and the breakfast is excellent with a varied selection. The restaurant menu in the evening, however, is a bit limited but there are plenty of places to eat around. Only real downside is the distance from the centre and a good uphill walk from the nearest metro.

    I travel with Trafalgar to Italy for 4 star everything, including hotels, 1st in line for everything and incredible hosted meals at vineyads and estates! I will be staying at Grand Hotel Tiberio this September and I know it will be incredible! Aloha, Faith
