    On a positive note, this hotel has a great location. The front desk staff were very helpful when we needed taxi service and the gentleman who worked the 3 - 11 shift was such a delight, very funny, helpful, and extremely nice. However, the hotel needs a lot of cosmetic work! I’ve attached photos of the rug in our room, extremely dirty and stained. The walls are in need of a paint job, photos attached of marks on the walls. Our shower door slider was broken. There was mold in the shower, photo attached. The room our adult children stayed in had the same stained, dirty carpet, marked walls. Their tub would not drain while showering. The hotel owners really need to invest some money into their hotel, if they did, it would be a perfect place to stay for your vacation in Rome. In fact, of course you are not aware of anything about the management of our hotel, and most probably about how to manage any other hotel at all.The family who owns the Gregoriana is directly involved in the management since 1977, almost 50 years, receiving constantly extremely positive feedbacks from the Guests, many of them returning year after year.As you may see reading our online reviews, on different websites, with an average score higher than 9 out of 10.Just so that you know, your rooms have been entirely painted less than one year ago and the carpet entirely changed. And of course we keep maintaining the rooms as well as keeping them carefully cleaned.However, we are normally fully booked months in advance and therefore it is impossible for us to keep a room closed every time a Guest marks the wall, stains the carpet or ruin anything else in the room. Which, unfortunately, is incredibly common.While, concerning the tub not draining or the shower door, did you mention it during your stay?Of course we would have been very pleased to fix them immediately.With our best regards.

    Worst hotel I ever stayed at.. location excellent “10”. That’s it ! Poorly maintained. Needs painting in rooms, AC broke, shower stall small fills with water, rugs dirty, 30 years old, no hair dryer in room, poor breakfast accommodations, shower door broken, luggage marks all over walls, on a positive note night time shift worker was very friendly and helpful.. Other than that this place is a disaster. Even more when compared to the hundreds of reviews received on different platforms with an average score over 9 out of 10. And, even more important, to the constant feedback we do receive in person by our Guests.You do not use your real name and therefore it is impossible for us to know in which room you have stayed and to reply accordingly.But we can for sure assure you that AC has been working perfectly in the entire hote and that every rooms is equipped with hair dryers. And we do also have more powerful ones available upon request.Therefore, it is evident that you did not mention any of these issues during your stay.Finally, concerning breakfast, we are sorry to read that it did not meet your expectation.The space at our disposal is limited and the XVII Century building doesn’t allow us to make many changes so we prefer to serve a ‘continental breakfast’ à la carte’, as also specified on all the websites.We do offer high quality fresh Italian products, both sweet and salty and mainly organic, which are served from the kitchen at the time of order.With our best regards.

    Awesome experience - Great place... Even better location!

    Great place to stay . Location was awesome. The staff was the best. All were friendly and accomodating. Fabrizio was great to deal with and always helpful. The last morning we had the breakfast delivered to our suite and what a great spread of food. The house keeping always kept up on our room with fresh towels etc. We would definitely stay here again .     Little gem in Rome.

    Hotel in a great location near the Spanish steps. It’s a lovely and quiet hotel. Room clean and comfortable and serviced daily. Breakfast was simple but just enough to start the day off. The service was a little chaotic and maybe just having a small selection out for a buffet would make things easier but I am sure they have their reasons. It didn’t bother me but I heard other guests moan…..relax you’re on holiday!I appreciated the touch of mini Easter bunnies on Easter Sunday. I would not hesitate to come back and stay in this hotel if I was to return to Rome. I stayed in a double room and it was nice and quiet.The hotel were accommodating from the beginning when wizzair changed our flight to the day after we originally booked and leaving the day after we were originally leaving. The hotel changed our reservation with no issues and no cost which was fantastic as this was an issue outside our control.A must stay in Rome if you’re looking g for simple but comfortable accommodation in a great location.     Good option for location and affordability

    This hotel had many positives and a few weaknesses. The location is perfect, and despite its central location, there was not too much street noise. The room had some nice storage options and breakfast was simple, but good. We experienced some wonderful customer service, in particular from Akrem at the front desk. As far as negatives, the mattress was as hard as a rock which made sleep difficult. Also, one of the men who worked the desk at night was somewhat rude. However, that was our only unpleasant interaction with staff.
