  Spacious, clean and staff are what make it truly enjoyable! Bring a travel kettle!

  Hotel is in a part of city around 15min journey on a bus from main tourist areas. Rooms spacious and bed really comfortable. Breakfast had plenty of variety, im not a meat eater or big breakfast person but still managed something to set me up each day for exploring.Staff exceptional and pleasant, gave plenty of good travel advice and places to eat locally or outwith area.Pool area not open during our stay but can imagine would be a nice area to dip and refresh on a warm day. All areas spotless at all times and all staff pleasant/welcoming at all times.Only negative was no tea/coffe making facilities in the room, major let down for me as love to enjoy a coffee in my room in my own time.   Rome Birthday treat!

  We like to go somewhere where the weather will try to kind to us early in the year, so I chose Italy. Bookedthru Jet2 City breaks, and proved to be a good choice! Airport a little frantic, because of this new EES thing, but we managed. Eventually got out to the taxi rank, queued and then got our taxi. The rid in was about 30 minutes and 60 euros( with a 5 euro tip). The area was a little like "Little Beirut", but on entry to the hotel far different! The reception staff were extremely friendly, pleasent and apolegised for the delay while our room was made ready. So we did no more than try the beer. Cold glass with cold beer, excellent! Once the room was ready, it found us not being ready for what we were looking at! The bed was Ginormous! The bathroom facilities excellent. Plenty of storage and a mini-bar hidden away in the wall. There was a TV and hairdryer in the room too!We ate that first night in the hotel restaurant, and the food was extremely good. Again cold beers to finish our long day. If you want to go out to eat there are a number of places to go and the hotel will give you a city map and mark places of interest and a really good restaurant too. The hotel have an agreement with a taxi company that for 24 euros will take you into the center of Rome, and on the map will have shown you where to get your return taxi. There is a rooftop pool, that sadly was being renovated on our trip, but still a place to catch some rays. Things we didn't use was the spa, so don't know about that.Breakfast in the morning was a treat. Continental and warm food too. Excellent! Coffee machines a little weird to get a full cup, but juice was great! Fresh bread, cold cuts and fried eggs along with scrambled. There was also fresh yoghurt and cereals too!The hotel will sort out your return taxi to the airport for you too. You will need to know which terminal you want and allow yourself plenty of time to get there if you want a drink or duty frees.   Modern clean lovely hotel room

  Could not fault the hotel room. Modern, comfortable & spacious. The bed was huge lots of storage and a big bathroom.The breakfast was included in our package that we booked through jet2, it was fine my husband wasn’t too impressed but I thought it was fine something for everyone and we only wanted it for a quick something before exploring anyway!The hotel provides a taxi service for €12 to Rome centre but it is to a specific place and you have to come back from a specific place - we didn’t realise this until our 4th taxi journey!The rooftop pool was closed during our stay which was really disappointing as it would have been the perfect place to relax, it was warm enough to be in too so I hope they review this.My only criticism was it is just a bit far away from anything and was a good 30 min walk into Trastevere…. Which we thought it we were staying in!However it did mean we explored lots of lovely places on route!   Pleasant enough but could be so much better.

  While 3 stars out of 5 might be viewed as unfair, especially in view of some of the higher ratings on here, I found too many negatives that prevents me from giving a higher score.Reception staff were a little slow. I suspect that one of them was new as had to ask for help from a more experienced staff member on many occasions. Otherwise, friendly and helpful. The subsidised €12 taxi voucher is OK as long as you show it to the driver on entry as it is for a fixed destination near the Colosseum. You can't ask for a different destination, however close to the Colosseum and expect the driver to take the voucher as part payment. We ended paying €24 for one journey as would not accept the voucher. Luckily, we were able to use it for another journey the next day. Uber Cabs are OK although they are sometimes difficult to book via the app. They seem to be reluctant to pick up from certain locations such as the area near the Spanish steps. It is often easier to flag down a local taxi as long as their light is on. They charge according to the meter and generally good value. Our room was very clean, spacious and comfortable albeit some might find the bed a little too firm. No kettle but the mini fridge was handy for keeping some affordable beer purchased from near by convenience stores of which there are a few. There are also plenty of bars and pizzerias in the neighbourhood. Do make the effort to visit Trastevera and Borgo regions. Buses, metro and trams are easy to navigate with Google Maps and extremely cheap using Tap and Go. You'll need a contactless method of payment for each member of your group. Can't tap twice with the same card to pay for someone else. The area around the hotel is very residential and can give the impression of being rough. We didn't experience any antisocial behaviour and found the locals reasonably friendly. The hotel bar was a little disappointing. A tad expensive at €8 for a 40cl beer. They ran out of beer at one point and also glasses. Call me a traditionalist but I would expect an €8 beer to be served in a glass. The pool bar was only staffed on the first day of our stay with a 33cl bottle of beer costing €7 or €8. Again, a little steep, even for a hotel. I am grateful for any European hotel that makes an effort to deliver a hot breakfast. However, if you're going to do so, at least serve it as described; hot! As far as I could tell, the "hot" breakfast items come out of the kitchen luke warm at best and then presented on worktops with no hotplate or hot lamps. My advice would be to stick with the continental breakfast which is adequate and certainly better than cold eggs and bacon. The toasters also take forever to brown the bread. I could feel myself aging while waiting for my toast, which incidentally was the only truly hot part of my "hot" breakfast. 🫤 We didn't try any other meals at the hotel. To end on a positive note, the house keeping staff are amazing and a credit to the hotel.
