Location

This appealing hotel is the only one to be situated within the airport boundaries. Connected to the terminals by a walkway, a shuttle bus service regularly covers the short distance to the centre of Rome. Shopping facilities and entertainment venues as well as historical sights of interest are all of course to be found in Rome. Links to the public transport system are only 300 m away.

Facility

The hotel has 517 rooms, including 220 double rooms, which are located on 8 storeys and are reachable by lift. Multilingual staff at the reception desk in the lobby are happy to answer any questions. A baggage storage service, a safe and a cash machine are available. Wireless internet access (no extra charge) allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel offers various facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A number of shops, including a supermarket and souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. The grounds of the hotel feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a newspaper stand, a TV room and a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Rooms

Air conditioning and central heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Separate bedrooms are available. Children's beds can be requested for younger guests. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Additional features include a refrigerator, a mini fridge and a tea/coffee station. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. Other features include a direct dial telephone, a TV and WiFi (for a fee). The bathrooms have a shower, a bathtub and a bidet. A hairdryer, bathrobes and a telephone are available for daily use.     The hotel experience was very disappointing. The rooms were not properly cleaned and basic housekeeping standards were not maintained. In addition, the staff were unresponsive and did not pay attention when guests were speaking or trying to request assistance. Overall, the service was below expectations.

    Very easy walk on the train and people movers from the airport terminals. We were able to check in early to stage for our flight home the next morning. Don’t bother with the Executive Lounge. It looks like a temporary setup in a small room in the lobby. The coffee maker did not work and none of the employees seemed to care. They did not offer to help guests. Snacks are minimal. We ate at the restaurant and food was subpar. I wished I had grabbed something to eat at the airport. Room was comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was okay. I could only have one cup of coffee because the servers disappeared.

    THE BEST Hilton ever!

    This has to be the BEST Hilton we have ever stayed in! The service was exceptional and the rooms are beautifully appointed and Italian. Alberto at the front desk was “molto gentile” in explaining everything to us. The dining staff work very hard preparing Italian and American style breakfast for the buffet. We left a few Euro for them on the table in appreciation of their efforts. After all, they are aghast at how much we Americans consume for breakfast. (Remember, they typically have just caffe and one cornetto.) Exhausted from our Tuscan travels, we had the best, restorative sleep on the comfortable bed and oh so cozy pillows. The attached proximity of the hotel via skywalk made it super easy to leave and commence our journey home. If only our American counterparts would treat us so well! Grazie mille, Hilton Roma.     Expect tradeoffs for the convenient location

    Because I valued being walking distance from the airport above all else, I chose this Hilton, knowing that the experience would probably be less than stellar - and I was right. The walk to the airport is about 10-12 minutes; some is via moving sidewalk (when working) and all of it is under cover. That was fine. What was underwhelming was the room and the food. The first room I got (exec king) had broken air conditioning. I requested repair or to move and they gave me a second room about 1/2 hour later. The AC was better but it was a Twin, not King. I asked about that and it was going to be another 1/2 hour to move again, so I put up with it because it was late and I was tired. Second, I was surprised that the restaurant food was as poor as it was. My breakfast omelet was more like a frittata; it was not an omelet in any way. My pasta and small bites dinner was something you would get at Fazoli's; very disappointing. For the price, they should do better. With that said, you are paying for the convenience of being able to walk to the airport, so just know going in that the rest of your experience will likely be average.     Good location, weird rules

    Great location. They have a pool, which we brought our 16 month old to. They refused to let her get in the pool unless we bought her a rubber swim cap at the pool desk and forced her to keep it on her head. Unfortunately, that’s a big ask for a baby and we had to leave because she wouldn’t wear it. Weird.
