    Very old, dirty hotel, small unkempt rooms, dirty walls, very poor breakfast, only a few options, we stayed from 8 in the morning until 2 p.m. to accommodate us, on the condition that if Italians came they would be accommodated immediately.Very high price for what it offers. The location is excellent, right next to the Trevi Fountain, next to the bus station and Carrefour.

    Hotel Accademia Roma – Club AccademiaNovember 5–9, 2025 | €300 per night | Honeymoon stayWe arrived in Rome filled with excitement, ready to end our honeymoon with four peaceful nights at what the hotel describes as its “VIP” category: Club Accademia. After weeks of traveling across Europe, we imagined coming back each afternoon to a warm spa, a private jacuzzi in perfect condition, and a quiet space to relax and recharge.What we found, sadly, was very different.A staff full of kindness, trapped in a hotel that no longer matches its promisesLet me start with the positives: the staff were wonderful — kind, attentive, and genuinely apologetic. Their warmth was the one bright spot in our stay.But no amount of kindness can compensate for serious maintenance failures and a service that simply does not justify €300 per night.The spa: a promised experience we never got to enjoyThe jacuzzi water was cold, the massage chair didn’t work, and although the sauna functioned well, the rest of the spa was far from the relaxing retreat advertised. The most frustrating moment came when we were told the spa was finally ready… only to arrive and be informed that they had just added treatment liquids and it was unusable again.A honeymoon spa experience that never actually existed.The in-room jacuzzi: a dangerous and exhausting surpriseThe private jacuzzi — supposedly one of the highlights of the Club Accademia category — leaked heavily. It flooded the bathroom (which had no drainage) and water began seeping into the room. I ended up drying the entire area myself, feeling a mix of disappointment, anxiety and helplessness.This is not acceptable in any hotel, let alone in a premium-category room.BreakfastBreakfast was correct, nicely attended, but surprisingly the only fruit offered was canned peaches. It felt out of place for the category and price.No gesture of compensationGiven everything, we asked for a simple gesture: to cover the airport transfer.The answer: “We don’t have authorization.”Once again, the staff were polite, but unable to do anything.ConclusionThe Accademia must have been a great hotel in the past — you can feel it in its structure and in the staff’s dedication.But today, the gap between what is promised and what is delivered is too big, and the price is far from justified.For a honeymoon, or for any traveler expecting what they paid for, we sadly cannot recommend the hotel in its current condition.

    Great location - hotel was very clean and staff was friendly. Breakfast was great. We read these reviews prior and asked for a room on the back side which they granted and our stay was very quiet! We would stay here again.

    We had such great exprience; the staff were lovely all through our staying, the location was probably the best it could be and we walked like 15 minutes tops to any plafe we liked...The rooms were very convinient and comfy and the airconditioning was great.Over all we had a wonderful expirience!
