The hotel is located on Via Gaeta, 5 minutes' walk from the main railway station Termini, which is also the main bus station in Rome and the place where the 2 metro lines meet. Thus, the hotel is very well connected with every part of Rome in a safe and quiet area.

Facility

14 rooms are available to guests. The reception desk is open round the clock. Amenities include a baggage storage service and a safe. Wireless internet access (for a fee) allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions.     Location to the train station is very convenient. The cleaning and breakfast wait staff are kind and courteous. The rooms are small with limited storage for clothes and luggage. The decor is tired and dated. The advertised proximity to the Trevi Fountain and Colosseum is 8 minutes away if you are driving, but it is just under 30 minutes to walk. All these aspects are manageable BUT the dismissive and rude welcome from the front desk manager was unacceptable. She was so rude and abrupt, it was almost laughable. She chastised us for knocking on the locked front door at 3 pm when we arrived to check in. Sadly the first impression of Hotel Alexis set a very negative tone to our stay there. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone.

    The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was a bonus for sure. Not too far from Termini to get to the attractions. The hotel was clean and offered great amenities. Great location with restaurants. Overall a highly recommended place to stay!

    Well.....location of the hotel is great, its only 10-15 walk from the station. the hotel itself....we got put in the worst room of all pretty much looked like a bedroom's conversion at the back of the house, out the way. the bedroom window had a view of someone else's courtyard and no natural light we kept the curtains closed the whole time and the bathroom window had to be opened by a pole and you could hear the hotel next door. table in the room wasnt very sturdy. complained about the hot water to find out we had to wait a good 10 mins for it to be heated. walls had marks all over it. mattress was hard and uncomfortablebreakfast wasnt the best, you got a plate with a few bits of meat and cheese on, the croissants were the best bit they were great. wouldnt stay again as i didnt feel safe in the room at all, and there was no option of changing

    Booked hotel through love holidays, fab location 6 minutes from main train station, lots of amenities, local supermarkets and cafes. Metro close by. We walked to all the main sites 15 mins to the trevi fountain, an hour to Vatican and the colosseum/ Roman forum 30 mins. Hotel was clean, room was typically Italian and just what we hoped/ expected.The team at the hotel were helpful and Friendly.Breakfast was a little later than we wanted 8-9:30 but only because we had planned on early starts.A little bit of noise before the local restaurants closed but then quiet all evening.Would recommend the restaurant opersite.Lots of places to sit around the hotel inc an small outdoor area.I was very pleased with the hotel considering we booked a low budget holiday.
