  4-night stay with great location in Rome

  4 might stay in Rome at Hotel Alpi was very good. Room are very nice, staff friendly and the location is excellent with metro, restaurants and grocery store near by. Breakfast there may not be worth the $-4 Euro asked, but plenty of cafes near by. Our A/C did not work 2 of the 4 nights we stayed. Staff did not seem that concerned about it or our inconvenience when mentioning it to them.

  Great location near Termini station and close to lots of great restaurants

  Hotel Alpi suited our needs as a family of 4 including 2 teenagers, especially given that the room featured a double bed and two single beds.A short 7 minute walk from Termini station, we were warmly welcomed upon check in by Renan, who spent a short time providing us with some dining suggestions/recommendations while our bags were taken to our room. The 4th floor room itself was spacious enough for our family and had a balcony overlooking the piazza, which despite it's proximity was not particularly noisy. The beds were very comfortable and everyone slept very well during our stay. The room was [too] warm during our [February] stay and we were not able to put the air-con into cooling mode. We opened the balcony doors when needed but ideally the temperature in the room might have been better regulated. The entrance to the room, which included the plentiful wardrobe space could have been lit better. We often had to use a phone torch to assist when using the coffee machine or accessing the safe, but this was a minor issue.There were so many places to eat within 10 minutes walk of the hotel- do make sure you make reservation. The proximity to the station + metro meant access from the airport and later out to the Vatican was very straightforward. We also returned to the hotel using taxis from Trastevere and Piazza Navona, both trips costing less than 15 euros. There is also a small supermarket conveniently located 1 minute walk from the front door of the hotel. Whilst not especially central to most of the main sights, the location near the station and the availability of lots of dining options in the evening really suited us. The room was very comfortable and the staff at the hotel were all welcoming, friendly, professional and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

  What a lovely stay! We were really happy with this hotel. Great location 5 minutes walk from the train station and within easy reach of all sites (either walking or by bus/train). Small, friendly and full of character. Immaculately clean and our family room (1 large double and 2 singles) was really pretty spacious, with a small and pretty balcony and a great bathroom and shower. Breakfast was perfect. Loads of choice buffet-style to fill you up ahead of a busy day, including hot scrambled eggs and bacon. We stayed with our two boys (12 & 15) and the 15 yr old said he couldn’t fault the hotel. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

  ⭐ Extremely Disappointed – Ants in Bathroom, Poor Staff Attitude

  I stayed here with my family in October 2025. I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. We found ants in the bathroom, crawling on the towels, which is absolutely unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one rated 4 stars.When we reported it to the front desk, the staff gave a lame excuse, saying the ants were probably there because of plants on the balcony — as if that somehow made it okay. They did nothing to actually resolve the issue: no cleaning, no room change, no real apology. Their idea of compensation? A free breakfast the next morning, which felt like a minimal gesture considering the unhygienic conditions. To top it off, they asked us to remove our Google review instead of trying to make things right. That kind of response says a lot about how they handle guest concerns.Definitely not the standard you’d expect from a 4-star hotel. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
