This charming hotel lies in the historical centre of Rome and is situated opposite Barberini Palace just a few minutes from the Museum of Historical Art, Triton Fountains on Barberini Square and the fantastic Quirinale Gardens. Links to the public transport network lie in front of the hotel.

Facility

The hotel was built in 1850. 4 junior suites, 5 single rooms and 26 double rooms are available to guests in an 8-storey main building and 2 auxiliary buildings. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities and a lift. Everyday necessities can be purchased at the supermarket. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (for a fee) or in the car park.     The hotel is comfortable & located within walking distance of Rome tourist areas. This is the fourth time we have stayed here.If you have mobility issues, walking up Via Rasella to get there could be an issue. Taxis are an option. Special mention to Laura & Anne in the restaurant. These ladies run the restaurant for breakfast. Their customer service is exemplary & can’t be faulted. They are always smiling.Samuele at reception is also a credit to the business -always helpful with any questions.

    Lovely family run hotel a short distance away from the major attractions and restaurants. Quiet well appointed rooms, great shower and very clean. The staff are wonderful a real credit to the hotel. The waitress at breakfast was truly exceptional as was her partner. There's a great rooftop bar and also a beautiful gallery opposite.     Aside from the polite manners of the staff and the hotel’s central location, there is very little positive to say about this hotel.We were given a room with a window that faced an air-conditioning unit and the back of neighboring buildings. There was no sunlight at all.The doors provide almost no sound insulation. You can hear everything constantly, making it impossible to rest.We could clearly hear the guests next door as if they were inside our room.When we told the staff that we were unhappy with the room, we were told this was the only option unless we paid an additional €50 per night for a room with an actual street view.After check-in, no one from the staff checked on us or asked if everything was satisfactory.You cannot control the air conditioning or heating from the room. To change the temperature, you must call reception, which is very inconvenient and unreasonable.You can even hear the neighbors using the toilet next door.Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. I would not recommend this hotel at all. Do not book here. During the high-demand New Year's Eve period, we did offer an upgrade to a more spacious Elegant Room with a view over the Roman rooftops; however, this option was declined.Regarding the climate control, we must clarify that, in accordance with Rome’s municipal regulations, air conditioning cannot be operated during the winter months. Our heating system was fully functional and, contrary to your comment, is manually adjustable directly from the room to ensure our guests' comfort.We take pride in our historic building, and while the charm of such structures can sometimes present challenges with sound insulation, we consistently receive praise for our attentive service and prime location.
