This historic hotel is situated in the centre of Rome, just 5 minutes from Termini railway station and less than 1 km from tourist attractions such as the Colosseum, the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. The Vatican is 1.5 km from the hotel, which, with the underground lines, buses, and central railway station nearby, is an ideal base for both tourists and business travellers. Connections to the public transport network are, in fact, optimal: the subway station is only 200 metres from the hotel and many stops on the main bus routes are close-by. Leonardo da Vinci International Airport and Ciampino Airport are both some 45 km from the accommodation.

Facility

The hotel was built in 1870. 40 non-smoking rooms, including 37 double rooms, are located on 5 storeys and can be reached by 2 lifts. The reception desk is open round the clock. A baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service are available. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected.     Excellent stay - room was sparkly clean and staff very cordial. This hotel is located a short walk from Termini in a pleasant area where it seems that many locals live - quiet and not over run by tourists. Excellent selection of restaurants nearby. Easily walkable to most attractions or take public transit - Republicxa station is nearby.

    Great location for a very good price. Beds comfortable, nice tub/shower, room clean and spacious. Nice decor throughout the hotel. There is a lift for all floors. Room was quiet. Breakfast was decent with plenty of options.As others have said, there is a €100 hold placed on your card at check in and returned at check out. Also a €6 city tax per person/day that needs to be paid in cash at checkout . Would definitely recommend this hotel.

    Excellent hotel and staff. Room cleaned everyday. Great breakfast. Every member of staff were exceptional. Special mention to Gino on reception who was very helpful with his advice and was very courteous, as were all the other members of staff too. Hotel is definitely a 10/10

    A great base for a Rome visit

    Only a 30-40 minute taxi ride away from Ciampino airport, the location was great for a base to visit Rome. We were greeted upon arrival at the hotel reception by Alessandro, he spoke great English, made me and my daughter feel very welcome from the offset. He guided us through the check in process, taking our €100 card deposit, giving us a Rome city map and explaining where to go and what to avoid. We arrived before our 2pm check in time and he took our luggage and kept it safe for our return when our room was ready. Our room was lovely, it was clean and very functional for the two of us. We had a little fridge stocked with drinks to purchase. The plug sockets were tricky to find, underneath the bedside tables. The WiFi was good and reliable. Hot and cold taps in the bathroom were labelled wrong, hot is cold and cold is hot water. There’s nearby little shops that stock drinks, snacks, toiletries and anything you may need. The breakfast was good, enough variety and I’m a vegetarian, you can get a good breakfast to start your day. We used Republica Metro station (10 minute walk) to get around, we avoided Termini station as Alessandro kindly warned us to give that station a miss. On check out, (a different receptionist to Alessandro) I was asked to pay the €6 per person per night city tax in cash. I then had to ask the receptionist for my €100 deposit back, he wasn’t going to do this willingly. No more words were spoken and we left- granted it was 6:30am, but it felt like he tried to avoid giving us the deposit back, the only thing he spoke about about was us paying the city tax. To summarise, it’s a lovely clean hotel, in a good location for visiting Rome. It’s just a shame that we left feeling that they hope you don’t ask for your deposit back.

    We had a lovely stay here, with exceptionally friendly staff. When I accidentally left my house and car keys behind they immediately arranged for speedy delivery back to me.
